The voice of God is greater now than compare to when i was a youth. The voice of God that i heard before, was the voice that will lead me to a higher level in him and i thank the Lord that i had taken heed, for if not i would had been lost and i would not be living this day to tell it. But i must say, it was a struggle to know whether it was the voice of God or not, how do you know it is the voice of God and not the voice of another, only within yourself by trusting the word of God that God will speaks to you and assure you and show you whether, 1. it's God, 2. it's the devil or 3. it's you. The Bible says that those that are led by the Spirit of God are become the children of God, so be led by the Spirit of God and he will Guide and lead you to all Truth and Righteousness.

Gobbledegook. Balderdash. the only voices you pays attention on your head are your man or woman recommendations. there's no god accessible. To have faith so is mere delusion introduced approximately by potential of indoctrination as a baby. hey! I basically heard a voice in my head. It exchange into telling me to pass make coffee. ought to have been god? no longer a hazard. Mark Chapman, a Born-back Christian, heard voices in his head, telling him to pass and homicide John Lennon. significant delusion. It exchange into his very own jealousy on the basis of all of it. Envy is a sin? What do you recommend 'and saved'? paintings thou holier than I? ought to be very comforting yet do understand that that's all that's - a comforting theory on your recommendations and not something. God is imaginary. a theory dreamed up by potential of guy - and you have fallen for the arrogance trick. fact beckons. Freedom is calling you. decide for properly.

I agree with you.
As for me, I remember distinctly a conversation from childhood that started out between me and what I thought was an imaginary friend (although even then I felt there was something different about this "friend"), then my "normal" imaginary friend showed up. The two began to talk, generally about stuff I didn't quite understand (like kids hear adult conversations but don't understand them), but I began to feel it was important to try to pay attention. The rest is very personal and private to me, so I won't discuss it here. The gist is that there were feelings and an understanding that was given to me that I was counseled to always remember even when I grew up. I remember understanding that my "normal" imaginary friend was actually the Holy Ghost and that I had many conversations with Him prior to this conversation I'm speaking of.
As I grew up I had different feeling promptings of the Holy Ghost, and now that I am an adult I have and have had various promptings and feelings from the Holy Ghost. But hearing the Holy Ghost like I did as a child has only happened once since then. And that too is a very private matter that I will not discuss here.

Yes. I do. I think the difference is perception. As children I don't think we comprehend feeling a voice. But as an adult we have a better understanding that when you hear from God you are feeling His spirit speaking to your spirit rather than actually hearing something auditory. Very inciteful question. Thanks for reminding us to "listen" for the the voice of God. Be Blessed.

Debra...
You need not fear mockery...why deny something so pure and simple?
God says that His children know His voice and He knows theirs...and Jesus says that His sheep know Him and He knows His sheep.....
Only thing is, Deb, have you not asked God's Holy Spirit to fill your cup and flow through you and reside with you? Sweetheart, when you have the fullness of God's Holy Spirit within you you will not only "feel" but KNOW His voice throughout your whole being!
Jesus died not only for becomming our sacrifice and salvation, but so that He could bring the other Comforter to us! As adopted children and Jesus's brides, God's Holy Spirit was no longer only available to God's beloved Jews, but to us Gentiles as well! God's Holy Spirit is the breath of life and miracles as well as the eye through which God is able to instruct us and teach us in the way we should go...and as an amplifier for God's voice to be heard and His love to embrace us in STEREO! :)
Accepting Jesus was only 1 step...you have to open the door to the Holy Spirit and invite Him in too. :)
God Bless you, and I pray that you will ALWAYS know and hear His voice! :)

I understand what you are describing, but I think we have to be careful when we talk of hearing voices so some other people do not confuse conscience and prayer with schizophrenia.

If you try hard enough, you can make yourself believe or 'feel' just about anything.
Some people actually believe they are hearing the voice of God.
Unfortunately one of them is president of the United States of America - and he thinks God told him to invade Iraq.

Beautiful question...
I hear him more now than I have ever before. Maybe I'm better at hearing than when I was younger.... not sure exactly.
