Jacob's link is to the minority report by the US Senate Committee on the Environment and Public Works chaired by Babara Boxer. I suggest going to this link instead: http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Home.Home

As far as I am concerned, all selective postings that do not first answer the Q are unwelcome. You folks who intrude bec you disagree with the implied position of my Q are intentionally disruptive. I have no sympathy for anyone who answers the Q's intending to be uncooperative and I mean to refer to people on ALL sides to the GW issue. This approach to the Q&A process is UNHELPFUL AND IT IS NOT THE KIND OF DIALOGUE I WANT TO SEE HERE or ANYWHERE ELSE ON THE NET. If you disagree w/the Q, please be courteous and skip it!! Otherwise Answer only the Q's consistent with your position and stop trying to push your views on others that do not agree w/you. I admit I fell into the same trap that I am now complainig about, but I will in the future stop myself from misusing the process. If you chose to A the Q, make an effort to address the focus of the Q first leaving any additional remarks to the end of the answer. That is the way to show respect to the Q-asker& to yourselves when U R the Q-asker!

NOT A LOT OF BUSINESS ENTITIES ACTUALLY

I know this firsthand since I work with them. Most of businesses have done and commissioned independent research to look at the effect of GW on their business, how they are part of the problem and become part of the solution.

The only ones are really some large US oil companies and car manufacturers (Exxon).

Most businesses even in the US are pushing for action... and the hilarious thing is that the US government believe it is protecting business interests by restraining them from acting...

anyone with a manufacturing or power generation business in China, or anyone who buys from them ( start with Wal Mart and then go look in the mirror)...when China is not only the largest producer of greenhouse gases but is under no compulsion by Kyoto ...or anyone else.... to do anything about it.

They are called Republicans. If you eliminate them the country will resemble North Korea.

Almost everybody is.

If you want to increase fuel taxes and electricity prices (like Al Gore tried several times to do while in government) most people aren't going to like that.
