It is our time to live. We do not know how much time we have.
If I sat in front of the TV all day, every day, the days would be so long, lonely, and more depressing than they are now.
We can figure out what makes us happy while we are here.
We can also stay alone every day for the rest of our lives.
I do not want to be lonely for the rest of my life. I am trying to figure out what makes me happy.

We could all just sit in front of the TV all day, but there are people out there using their life to make other people's lives better. Life is a time slot you were handed, what you do with it is up to you. I'm bipolar, and when I think too hard about things like this, I wonder the same things. The meaning of life is up to the person who's living it. My suggestion would be to find your meaning, and to try to stay in life, and out of your head. Some things aren't really meant to be thought about, because there is no answer.

This is the logic. If and only if God exists can there be a chance that life has a point or purpose or meaning.

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell

Russell was a noted 20th century philosopher, mathematician and Nobel Laureate. He was also an atheist but he was honest enough to know that our existence is meaningless without God.

So, I think it is either seek God (and purpose and point and meaning) or forget it all because there is none.

I think that if we were created by God then He must have put this terrible need for meaning into our human nature to get us to seek Him.

Here is the point. You have 22,000 days to live. After this, no more sun, moon, stars, flowers, oceans, mountians, monkeys, smiling faces or whatever might someday turn you on. Use or lose it but sure enough you are right we're all going to croak just like the bugs we step on and the cattle we eat.

I agree with you. Apart from the few minutes when I'm at my puter I do sit most of the day in front of the telly.
