i had my teeth pulled 1 month and 1 week 29 of them, then they put my dentures in right away. just been eating mac & cheese, soft foods. been trying harder things but just doesn't work yet. i go back to dentist jan 15th for alinement. want to know if cuz i had my teeth put in right away it takes that much longer for the gums to heal. dentist told me about 6 to 8 weeks. do you think i should leave my teeth out longer periods of time for them to heal faster? i do take them out at nite. i'm dying for a pizza etc.. how long will that be does anyone think? thankyou very much

the reason for leaving them in is to get your gums to form to the inside of the denture. if you leave them out overnight you might not be able to get them back in the next day.

actually chewing with them in and massaging the gums will stimulate healing. just eating just things and liquids will cause them to take longer to heal.

just cut up pizza really small, you can eat it.
