This question is only for sincere Mormons who know well their faith --Theology and Christology. As a Jesusonian Christian, I am not much familiar with the LDS doctrines. I do believe that all Protestants and Mormons and Catholics are spiritually equal Brothers and Sisters with all Jesusonians and Jesusonian Christians in the Family of God in Jesus Christ here in Spirit.

About 20 or more years ago, I did read just once all of the "Book of Mormon"; and I found a statement (I forget now where) which stated the great Truth that Jesusonians also know:

Jesus Christ is both God the Father and God the Son to us ! We Jesusonians also know that He is also the Father-Son Union to us; and I know fully that that HE IS I AM to us now and eternally. He is also our very Elder Brother and He is much more, ever being Revealed to us by both continual Epochal- and auto- (personal-) Revelation. He is our One Holy Father-Son-Spirit of ALL TRUTH of/as GOD the Infinite I AM.

Thank you ! Peace

To averagegolfer3. You are not at all helpul in doing the will of God here. You are a blatant basher of your LDS brothers and sisters in Jesus, out of ungodly fears. Unreasoned fear is a master intellectual FRAUD practiced upon the evolving mortal soul. Jesus Christ is our Eternal Coordinate (equal with God) Sovereign Creator Son in this universe. Thus, He is our True Creator Father. Lucifer is just a lesser, lesser, lesser Son of God; and Satan is one step lower -- just an assistant to Lucifer. Jesus Christ (Michael) WON this spiritual battle easily in AD 30. All evil Sons of God and evil angels and all other evil spirits or semi-spirits are now under the Absolute Sovereign Power and Control of Jesus Christ. Both Lucifer and Satan are now stripped of all powers, and both are now still locked up on a spiritual prison sphere, awaiting their final judgment. Bible truth you will believe: "All Power is of God. There is no Power but of God." All of God is in Jesus Christ here with us now !

Jesus Christ is the son of God. He is the only begotten in the flesh and the Savior of the world. He also stands at the head of the LDS church and the LDS church is directed through revelation from Christ.

I think it's a shame that I even have to defend my religion, in a country that was founded on the basis of free religion. In fact, I find it puzzling that anyone would spend their valuable time trying to pull down someone else's religion, especially when that religion shares far more in common with their own religion, than it has differences. It is a shame that people that claim to be Christian do such an un-Christian thing, like putting other religions down, and focusing on their discredit, rather than simply live by Christ's teachings, and focus on improving ourselves in preparation for eternal aspirations.

"The Mormons seem the very embodiment of 'family values,' and you couldn't invent a religious culture that lived more consistently with Biblical messages. ... On the scale of American problems, the Mormons don't even register." — Wall Street Journal editorial

No matter your opinion on the LDS Church, I reccommend you read this article: http://www.deseretnews.com/article/1,5143,695233910,00.html

We believe:
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Under the direction of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ created the earth. Through His Resurrection, Jesus Christ saved you from death. Because He overcame death, everyone will be given the gift of resurrection, the righteous and the wicked alike. When life on this earth is over, Jesus Christ will serve as the final Judge.

Ditto what plastik punk said. Just a few more things to add. He is my friend, confidant and advocate to the Father.

We don't believe in the trinity, but in a Godhead, which God The Father is the head of. We believe that they are three separate, distinct beings. Christ being the chief corner stone for the church. He works under the direction of the Father.

Christ is the only way to gain eternal life and exaltation. Without Him, we could never hope to live with God and Christ again.

I will always be eternally grateful for the sacrifices of my Savior. And I hope to be able to tell Him that one day.

Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of the Father. He is the Savior of all mankind. Nowhere in the Book of Mormon does it say that He is the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit That is the BIGGEST difference between us (LDS) and Protestants. They (the majority) believe that He is all three, but we believe they are three seperate beings. I'll attach a link below to the Book of Mormon in its entirety. Run a search. I would like to see the verse you are referring to.

Plastik Punk, Guitarpick, and Odd Duck did a fine job answering.

I have one last thing to add: Jesus Christ is the creator of the World under the direction of the Father.

If you really, really want to get into a great book about LDS beliefs on the Savior, read "Jesus the Christ" by James E. Talmage. It uses a lot of vocabulary-pushing big words, but it is fantastic if the language doesn't overwhelm you.

To you God the Father and God the Son is Jesus?
I don't think that tradtional christianity.
The Nicean creed believes That God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost are three personages in one in substance and essence.

You are teaching modulism which is heresy in the Christian church.

Jesus Christ is son of God. He performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, rose in his own body on the third day.

We believe that God the Father, his son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are the Godhead or God. They are three seperate personages but one in purpose.

Jesus Christ, or Jehovah as He was known in the Old Testament, is the literal Son of God the Father. He was often referred to as the Father because He had received divine investiture from the Eternal Father to rule and reign over the earth and all that is in it.

Jesus Christ is the firstborn of all spiritual children of the Father and the Only Begotten in the Flesh of the Father, meaning he took upon Himself flesh, blood, and bone to fulfill all biblical prophecy.

The Lord Jesus Christ is our Savior, our Redeemer and great Teacher that has, through His infinite sacrifice, paved the way by a great Atonement for us to return to the presence of the Father in heaven.

In the spiritual sense, Jesus Christ is our Elder Brother, but He remains our Lord and Savior over all.

The important fact remains: Jesus Christ and the Eternal Father in heaven are two separate Holy Entities of flesh and bone--not a combined spiritual enigmna of force that permeates the universes and hearts of man. It is the Holy Ghost that performs that important function of bearing witness and truth of the holiness of the Father and the Son.

Note: Oops! I failed to mention that the Messiah was also the Creator of this earth, other planets, and the universes as we know them.

Hi friend. Mormons absolutely believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ. We believe that salvation comes only through Him. We worship him as our God and Savior.

Thanks for asking a real Mormon and for recognizing the bigoted answers that are so often posted on Yahoo! Answers for what they are!
