I regularly take a walk in the park and I like to take a small pistol with me and shoot at birds. I have managed to kill the odd pigeon or starling but nothing too exotic and I only do it when there is hardly anyone around so it is safe. However some of the locals have got really angry! I've always managed to run off but I don't understand what their problem is as the pigeons are always pooing everywhere so I'm just eradicating rodents really. What do you think?

Why are all these people saying pigeons are rodents? Last time I checked, they were birds. Rodents are in a whole different game...rats and such. Not birds. And if your local law enforcement or whatever considers them rodents, they are morons, and don't deserve to run the place!

Which pigeon? what time of the three hundred and sixty 5 days? Is your loved ones ravenous? Is there a slip threat? perhaps there's a case for the two, farmers feed farm animals for us to consume. you prefer help in this question? you certainly should not be capturing them then!

Shooting living beings for fun is plain sick. They have as much right to live as we do. Don't kill beings that you're not planning on eating.
Pigeons are not the only ones who poo everywhere. Every animal does that, even you. Can I shoot you for pooing because the toilet stinks so bad after you? Seriously, that is a lame excuse to be shooting birds.
I hope the locals will catch you one day and stick that gun of yours where the sun doesn't shine.

Check your local bylaws regarding pigeons. You may well be within your rights. Where I am from there is a lady who will run them down on the street with her car. Police have refused to charge her as the pigeon is considered a rodent and therefore not protected by the law. This method is far more effective than a pistol and the car is not considered a restricted weapon.

Pigeons are flying rats, they're filthy and disgusting, and crap on everything. They should all be destroyed.
In certain cities, you can receive a summons for feeding the pigeons.

the problem with them is very sad but if a man is able to kill a pigeon with a pistol , then he will go further. thats why its wrong.

They are rodents but what harm have they done to you ? People keep rodents as pets ( pigeons, rats etc) I dont know what thrills you get from doing it but I agree with them and think its wrong.

Shame on you. While I'm not particularly fond of pigeons, they are still God's creatures and, as such, are under His protection. My ex called them "winged rats" and that's only part of why he's my ex. Again, shame on you. Leave those birds alone and pick on somebody your own size.

Its not agianst the law to shoot pigeons but I think it is to carry you air pistol in public.

Pigeons are just a starter drug. You will move onto more hardcore birds, like ducks and then geese, finally swans. You wont be able to get enough, so you will then go on to reas, emus and finally you will overdose when you shoot an ostrich and it falls on you!
