Yes.
American Express will process this as they would process any other American Express card transaction. Just make sure that PayPal doesn't try to get an authorization for any more than $25. If they try to get an authorization for $25.01, it'll fail.
With all due respect to Notorious DPT, the American Express Gift Card is treated exactly like an American Express Card by the merchant, so there is no reason why PayPal wouldn't accept it.

It didn't work when I tried. Amex cards are weird. I'm never getting one again.
I ended up making a bid, assuming that I would be able to use one of my gift cards, but Paypal didn't accept either of them. So I won and then when I saw that the gift cards weren't working, I decided to try and send an online money order (it was a cheap purchase anyway and the person had perfect feedback.) However, none of the money order sites even take American Express. So I had to go beg my mom for her card so I could pay for this winning bid.
Moral of the story, I'm never getting American Express anything ever again...

nope. paypal only accepts existing accounts like your credit card and bank accounts.. no gift cards.

Yes...just enter the number on the card and the expiration date, like you would on a credit card.
