My question was misunderstood I didn't mean God would let people in who love sin. Neither does he "Throw people into Hell as a punishment"............http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AiU.r410wsRKko7avr0OLuzsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071211060952AA7Kdfj

Would you let someone live in your house forever that does not accept you?
that sounds a little crazy. Could you ever trust them?

Acid zebra:
The daughters were not raped just as Abraham's son was not killed........considering God's word more sacred than a human life, God honors that faith but he doesn't necessarily want that "thing" to happen that was offered in faith. He did not let Abraham kill his son, he did not let the daughter's be raped. You need to look at the whole story not just part of it for the sake of your skeptical logic.

Acid Zebra.
If I was born into say. San Quentin prison.....I would rather be dead than live there.....and grow up to be raped, beaten and abused. So God did A favor to Sodom and Gomorrah.

I don't know why people love sin and won't accept Jesus.
Seriously think about this, if we love to sin, where would our sin take us? I'm talking literally. I'm not talking about heaven or hell. I'm talking about if we fornicate all the time, killed people, lied all the time, commit adultry...etc... If we did because we loved to, what would this world be like? How many people would have STDs, how many people would be depressed, in sorrow, how many people would be dead physically. And then think about how many people would be dead spiritually.
Jesus died to cleanse us from our sins so we can be with our Father in Heaven.
its love the sinner hate the sin.
God put morals/ commandments in our hearts. He also gave us a choice to do the right thing or do the wrong thing. Now its up to us to lean to the right or lean into the wrong. As parents GOd commanded to raise your child up into where he/she should be, and they shall not depart from it.
You say morals came from the government, but how did the government learn about them.

Except for murder, incest, rape, theft of personal property, pushing and selling harmful drugs?, the rest is a matter of perception. My creed is based on logic, common sense, and laws of the land, parental, and societal cultures.
Your idea of ''sin'' might be my pastime. Following my own perceptions of what is okay, sexually for me, and oh, say the Gays, or anyone else for that matter, is our business, and not YOURS.
My biggest problem with what christians try to push on everyone else, is ridiculous at best, serious at worst. Most ''sins 'are stupid, and the fact that you people are serious about them being serious, is scary.
Take sex! The greatest thing that nature ever provided. between two consenting adults it is wonderful!
First thing you do with it? Turn into something that is for 'procreation'' only. How dumb is that? And make it ''dirty'', and a wife's ''duty''. Old fashioned ideas like that, creates rapists, and child molesters.
I really wonder when you people are going to decide, that if people do not conform, exactly to what ''your'' rules are::: we will be back to the old days!
''Off with your head, you sinner''.!
Keep your insanity to yourself! Keep it out of my law books, and keep it out of my schools.
You can go ahead and report me for a rant, but it is MY opinion, and I am entitled to it.

"Would you let someone live in your house forever that does not accept you? that sounds a little crazy. Could you ever trust them?"
At least as much as you could trust crazy people who claim to know that you exist despite the utter lack of evidence that you do.
If there is a God, he most certainly isn't going to be rewarding Christians for their behavior.
Do you REALLY believe that an almighty, perfect and loving God would reward liars and punish honest people? Does that really make sense to you?

I don't understand you. You state in your avatar description that you have a minister's license, and that you are a "born again" Jesus lover. This implies that you know a LOT about Christian scripture. So why are you asking such inane questions regarding heaven and hell and sin and all that stuff? Or are you just exaggerating (maybe lying a bit about your Christian "credentials")? Sorry, but I can't help thinking there's something not quite right about you, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

A rather poor analogy really, you seem to miss the point entirely, morals do not come from a book they come from having a social and personal conscience,it comes from your parents, your teachers at school and indeed the laws of the land also help mould a persons morality, just because I do not accept the word of a book that has no basis in fact does not mean I am immoral....

That makes zero sense.
So what happens when the people who make it to heaven eventually, inevitably stray and fall into sin? After all, by your own insistence, we are all imperfect and inevitably fall short of the mark....
Does Joe Hovah kick them out then? Then so much for it being an "eternal reward"...
Does ol' Joe "perfect" the people and make them incapable of sinning? Then why couldn't he do that for EVERYone?

Jesus really did not exist. He was created by man in a fashion similar to those figures created in other pagan religions derived mainly from astrological events. Oh yeah, your kind of an idiot too.
