Hoy estar su aniversario y ellos lo (celebrar) _______ en su club favorito.

What would be more correct for the blank? Estan celebrando, or estan celebrandose?

Also, why is estar used for date and not ser. Isn’t that specific day always their anniversary?

Today is their anniversary and they will celebrate it at their favorite club.

Ser is always used for dates. For the blank
you can simply say "celebran".
