There is this one spot on my mid back on the side that aches especially by the end of the day. It has been going on for a couple weeks now. It especially hurts when I'm sitting. I sit all day at work. Last night it was so bad I wanted to cry when I asked my boyfriend to just take his fist and rub the spot as hard as he could. Anyways it felt much better after that. Anything like this happen to anyone else? What could it be and how can I get rid of it permanently!? ps - i'm only 23

Sitting all day is not good for anyone unless they spend time exercising. The problem could be the chair you are sitting on, so check that. Likewise you need to start to strengthen those back muscles, so some form of exercise program. Now promise not to laugh, I wear chairs out! Yep cars seats, arm chairs, they end up with a bald patch due to scoliosis. Therefore, my advise get some good back exercises and do them.

Oh dear...

You may want to see a chiropractor.

Meanwhile, take aspirin and use icy-hot patches, or a similar product. And keep getting that area massaged.

Good luck!
