Dentists: What are my options for fixing a giminated (sp) tooth?

I am currently wearing braces and my orthodonist wants to fix this tooth, but he said that I may have to get it pulled. I really don't want to do that. I am going to the dentist about it soon, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice.

THIS DEPENDS ON HOW THIS IN FACT APPEARS. IF THE ORTHO BELIEVES IT WOULD BE BEST TO EXTRACT THEN TELL HIM YOUR QUESTIONS/CONSEQUENCES EITHER PRO/CON OF DOING THIS.
