Hi there,
It is not advisable to rely on pain killers for the relief of pain on the long run. Here is a good exercise to do when you are on bed rest. Lie on your stomach and prop yourself up by your elbows. Slowly and gently push up so that your hips remain on the floor and your stomach and chest are lifted up. Do this as far as you can without overextending yourself. After this, roll onto your back and insert a rolled up towel under your lower back.
If you perform this exercise for three or four days and find no relief it may be because your pain is not centered in your lower back. If you feel the pain more to one side than the other you can modify this exercise. The way you do this is to go ahead and lie down. Then shift your hips away from the side with the pain. Then go ahead with the exercise as described in the above.
For more info on effective ways to cure your back pain , you can read abt it here : http://back-pain.best-health-remedy.com/

You can take these continuously but just be aware of the signs you are getting into trouble - constant nausea, stomach pain means your body says "stop taking this stuff". Fixing the pain cause is your best best. Standing in one place may be giving you lots of your symptoms. Try taking a 5 minute break, walking briskly, swinging your arms around, flexing your neck, shrugging your shoulders - anything to get your muscles warmed up which brings increased blood to these areas and helps decrease the discomfort. Also, an exercise program at home with shoulder, neck, back stretching - again anything for about 30 minutes will help with the pain/discomfort and healing.

You can take pain killers daily; however, you need to be very careful not to exceed the daily limit. Both tylenol and ibuprofen can do a great deal of damage to your organs if you take too much. For any of the meds you take, read what type of pain killer is in it - advil has ibuprofen; fiorcept has both tylenol and ibuprofen. So be very careful.
You may want to see a doctor to determine if there is something either seriously wrong or can be treated.

My husband had the same symptoms, spend loads of money on chiropractor visits and popped ibuprofen every 3 hours...then, my brother-in-law loaned us his Teeter "Hang Ups" inversion table. It's an aparatus that allows you to slowly invert to an upside down position for about 1 minute and it completely straightens out your spine. Now he "inverts" on this table twice a day (morning and evening) and he's virtually cured. If you have access to one, you'll find some great relief...and a hot-tub soak once a week helps loosen up muscles as well.

I have been on pain killers for 14 years, I have my blood checked every six weeks for sure and the doctor watches me carefully.
A few times he's had to increase the amount but then, lowered it when I got better.
As long as your under a doctors care and, he watches you, you should be ok.

They will not help to correct the problem and will cause harmful side effects. There are always dangers to using those drugs daily. Try some neck exercises that can help correct the problem or see a good chiropractor ASAP!
