I don't think there is a big risk on it. I had 2 giving to me because I have 2 herniated disks. You get an IV, anesthesia, and then you wake up with no pain. I was like : that's it are you serious I didn't feel anything.

go to a chiropractor. epidural messes with your spinal cord. 2 vertebrae have to slightly pushed away from each other, in childbirth it numbs and basically enduces temporary paralysis. Don't mess with it. I had a similar issue. 3 of my neck bones were out of line, a rib popped out from behind my spine (no they are only attatched in the front to your sternum), and 3 back bones out of line. 3 weeks later I was completely relieved of pain! chiroprators are specialists in the spine. some say they are nuts, can't prove it by me! the epidural will simply mask or hide the pain, actually making you more likely to worsen the damage. this is a temporary fix. your bones are out of line, applying pressure to nearby tissue which is causing the pain. it is possible that you have nerve damage, but DO NOT let someone poke around your spine with needles!!! 11 years later, my wife still complains of aches sometimes right where she got the epidural!

As you are pregnant, you best tell them before they give you the epidural.
