I just had my wisdom teeth taken out Friday. I'm on vicodin but i feel weird..how much it too much..?

The key here is to take the least amount of pain medication possible. You want to be comfortable but not whacked out.
So review with your pharmacist the amount you are taking with respect to your height and weight. Then you can either cut back or switch to ibuprofen and/or Tylenol as the pain gets under control.

That depends on several factors. How much do you weigh? What's the milligram of vicodin ? Vicodin or hydrocodone comes in many different strengths and combinations. There are two numbers on your pill strength. for example 5/500 or 7/750 or 10/325. The first of the two numbers is the milligram amount of hydrocodone or synthetic codeine. The second and larger number is the milligram amount of acetaminophin or Tylenol. Drugs in the codeine or codone family are powerful opiates related to the demerol and morphine and opium. Feeling weird from a small amount is normal. Ask your doctor or pharmacist.

I was vicodin for my wisdom teeth too and it made me feel weird also. I stopped taking it and used Advil. You can probably stop taking it since it's been 4 days. Talk to your dentist and/or pharmacist to see what they recommend for pain relief.

You dont give height or weight if you feel as though you are getting too much(i do not do well with codine)i would cut it in half and nto take so much ro call dr and ask for switch in prescription.

Read the prescription....if you feel weird, take half....or take some Advil and skip the vicodin!!!

Many people who are not used to taking this only need half of a tablet. Taking a whole one makes you feel pretty loopy if your are not used to taking them.
