i have a few colleagues that have had to learn it and to be honest they all say that the best way to d oit personally is to purchase "teach yourself beginners chinese" and get the cds too..you can buy it used on e bay or amazon cheap..
think about it, are you serious about learning it??? its going to take time and effort, the least you can do is invest 10 quid in a book and cd.. youll also be able to learn when your away from your pc,,
