Adults (except those concerned about their children placed in doubt about the religious teachings their parents are trying to give them) have nothing to FEAR from the movie. But then, I doubt that the movie has all that much to offer adults, since three will always be another fantasy movie to enjoy, down the pike. So, why bother to go see this one? I am sorry to think that the legitimate negative concerns are going to help this movie, which doesn't deserve to be helped.

I don't see how a movie can cause harm. It's only a movie. It's much milder than the books, it's isn't overt. It's more a case of hysteria and certain people making a big deal out of nothing.
I haven't seen it getting very good reviews, so I'm going to wait until it comes out on video and see something else at the theater tomorrow night.

I might not agree with the whole premise of the book trilogy/movie, but I don't think it should be boycotted. Christians need to learn how to meet these challenges head on and stop burying their heads in the sand. If people want to see the movie, let them; just be ready to discuss it. What causes harm is not learning how to defend your beliefs and just blindly accepting what is fed to you and refusing to hear anyone else's point of view.

Hardly, I don't understand why so many people get worked up about something soooo inconsequential.....and why is the first mode of attack to boycott or ban? Is their faith THAT weak?
Look at all the hub-bub around the "DaVinci Code". Do that cause Christianity to crumble? Did it bring about the end of the world???
All the knee-kerk reactionary garbage does is put more money in the pockets of the producers/writers of the works. I'm sure they love it.

ZZ,
You are welcomer to promote it if you choose. I personally will not spend a dime to see any movie coming out of the big companies today. They are all against our FATHER'S WORD and require too much hate to be around too closely. Have a great week and have fun at this "movie".
Thanks,
Eds

As a Christian I have no fear except the fear of being disobedient to God. God says guard your eyes and this movie is blaspheming the Lord. A Christian cannot know this and willfully attend this movie. It is written to disprove God.

It's a bit like the Davinci Code. The real reason not to see that movie was not because of its controversial plot, but because it was generally just s#ite

You ought to be more fearfull reading the Bible!
By believing in Jesus and being “saved” you will get one of the first seats in Heaven to watch how the vast majority of the human beings including your “unsaved” family members and old acquaintances will be tormented in a sulfuric Hell fire lake or what have you for ever and ever and you will be encouraged to poke fun showing a wet big finger for them to lick hoping to quench their thirst and you can tease them all you want for ever and ever… That’s HEAVEN! No wonder Jesus said that you must hate your father and your mother and everybody else to follow him, especially if they are "unsaved" and go to HELL! You will hear a lot of “I told you so…” from Sweet Jesus! He thought of everything!
Luke 16:23-25-NIV (Jesus is telling us…) AND BEING IN TORMENTS IN HELL, he* (*a rich man in Hell) lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; FOR I AM TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME.’(and Jesus all excited continues the story telling…) But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and YOU ARE TORMENTED! (Hey, these are words of Sweet Jesus Christ… he will enjoy watching the Christians teasing those in HELL for rejecting him!)
Revelation 14:10-11 "he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. HE WILL BE TORMENTED WITH BURNING SULFUR in the presence of the holy angels and of the LAMB* (*aka God the Son Jesus Christ, and some Christians who will ALWAYS be with him wherever he goes/John 17:24). And the smoke of their torment rises FOR EVER AND EVER. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."
So if you got saved make sure that you pay your tithes and offering or you will be given a Christian burial without next of kin notification and go to HELL for sinning against God the Holy Ghost! (Acts 5:1-11)! Not paying the full tithes and offerings is a great blasphemy against the Holy Ghost!

No, and no.
I want to see it, actually. Maybe my husband and I can see it while we're back in the States.
