the Chinese system is teacher oriented in that the teacher lectures to the class, there is very little interaction and student participation, the 9th grade year is basically learning how to take the High School entrance exams, 12th grade is the same, if you do not make the top test scores you usually got o a lesser sh cool or maybe a trade school

In the UK your parents cant buy you a pass mark or a university place if you are not good enough.
