it would most probably work out. but she might have a difficult labour being a bit older. if you do it i'd have the vets phone no. close by.

the breeding age is usually between 18months and 6 yrs for females.

good luck :)

WHYY.. the ? is WHY do you want to breed her? Do you not care about the health of your dog? Yes she is too old! are you looking for a quick buck or something? Why the hell do you want to breed her? Leave your dog alone and get both of them fixed! We don't need anymore dogs in the world.. go to a shelter and look at all the poor little chis there... one of them is probabaly from an old littler that you already sold. People need to adopt dogs and stop breeding for money!

At 8 years she is much too old. You really shouldn't breed a b*tch after 6 years of age... 7 if you are pushing it. As for the male, you couldn't have done any testing if he is only 10 months. Most tests, such as that for hip dysplasia, cannot be done until 2 years of age. I recommend spaying your pets and leave the breeding to the pros :)

The female is really too old, even if she physically can, it would take a lot out of her, and she can't recover at her age the way she would be able to at 4 or 5. The male is also too young- he should be at least 2 years old to be sure he doesn't have genetic health issues- you can't tell for sure at only 10 months. I wouldn't do it.

YES!!! She is too old!!!! Please,if you love your dog,do not risk her life by doing this.Seven is the regular cutoff age of breeding a chihuahua, and I stop breeding mine at 6.as a matter of fact,2 of mine are getting fixed this Monday..one is 6,the other is only 4 but has problems during birth.

WAY TOO OLD!!! She should have beens spayed when she was 5 or 6 years old!!! It is too late now, she is a senior now and it isn't safe for her to have puppies!

The male is way too young, he should be at least 2 or 3 years old!!!

The dog is too old to have puppies safely. You run the risk of killing her, the puppies or both. Please spay her and let her live out her life a happy dog.
