ive been working security gigs since i got out of the army bout 2yrs ago and have worked at some importent buildings were ecurity was a joke state capitols, airports ect. i could have walked into any of these facilities and had my way (not even taking my training into account jo blow from cocomo could infiltrate most of the "hard" targets in this country id like to see private security take the step forward (it seemed like after 9-11 it might) but companies are still unwilling to pay what it costs to hire truly profational security personelle 7.50 an hr probly isnt goin to get u much, i meen there is a place for retired sheriffs and thus but if u want profetional people youll have to pay them what youd pay a pro (not the same as some teen at Mcdonalds) ive been thinking maybe some kind of fedral security A gende'arme or sumthing like that say only prior srv/police ect. whove filled there obligation and accept offers for key fac., i.e we need somone at the power plant any of u want it?

Locally, our neighborhood newsletter advises us that we can hire off-duty cops to patrol the 'hood at night ''as crime rates have risen slightly in the holiday season.'' At a cost of $200.00/cop/night.

If companies are unwilling to pay the price, that is their problem. I'm sure if someone were to suffer because of this, there are plenty of bloodsucking lawyers ready to make them pay. As for "federal security", we already have that. It's called Armed Forces, and they have no business in the private sector.

Yes, yes, just what we need, another Federal parasite to suck away our freedoms and tax dollars. Good thinking. I suppose that kind of position would be perfect for you, eh? Can't find a real job after all that Army training?

Wanna be secure?
1.smaller Federal government, with no power to interfere in foreign policy.
2.revoke the legal definition of corporation as a real person.

Security needs to be taken more seriously. But another gov't bureaucracy? No effen way! By the way, anyone willing to trade freedom for more security is foolish.

no, i think this whole thing is a big joke......I mean come on "you cant take toothpaist on an airplane" What you going to do brush the pilots teeth. Also, you cant take cologne either I guess you might smell to good.
That is the types of security that our money is spent to protect.
