Yep, I like to see responsible, law-abiding citizens taking advantage of their 2nd amendment rights! We need more of 'em! Then if some mad-dog goes to shooting up a crowd of people, Johnnie-on-the-spot can put him out of our misery and save some innocent lives!

I found a nice little .22mag mini-revolver w/boot-clip holster in some crazy guy's boot once when I was arresting him. Charged him for carrying w/o a permit. Since it was such a fine little weapon (most of 'em are trash you couldn't pay me to own!) I spoke to the Solicitor before trial. Said it'd be a shame to destroy it and (per Georgia Law) he made the recommendation to the Judge that the weapon be awarded to the officer. And, Voila! An emergency B.U.G. (Just a "get-off-me!-gun", but hey!). Never used for anything but to kill snakes. I keep a "number nine" in it, and at about 6ft it'll pepper a snake real good :-)

Very rarely with a gun, I usually find knives. Once in a while brass knuckles, or some other impact device.
