mine is black leather, i had to buy it myself (haven't had any prezzies for a long time) and it Had to be leather! I'll tell you about that later D. x

They might be issuing a different kind of passport now but I seriously doubt they would void all existing, valid passports. That kind of thing is phased in over a long period as they could never keep up with the sudden demand.

As passports now have to be electronically swiped, passport holders have to be removed and are a waste of time, serving only to hold up the queue.

I still have my first black passport from when I went to Singapore with the RAF in 1963, which I love.
I use that as a holder for my vastly inferior looking modern one.
