Do you wake up quick when you are dreaming deep? Let him dream and sleep... walking him up is the worst you can do... if he does it only when he sleeps it means that he is dreaming. Please do not wake him up again!

If you are concerned, take him to a vet. He's probably just dreaming but if you're that worried about it the cost will be worth it for the peace of mind. Think of what you've fed him before he does this - have you fed him any tidbits of your own food, snacks or drinks? Things with food colouring, lots of sugar, or other highly processed foods can have adverse effects on some dogs. But see your vet, and they will tell you what to do. It _does_ sound like he's just dreaming, though.

Theere is nothing to worry about your dog is just dreaming.
Just leave him be and he will be fine. This is normal in most dogs I have a 8 year old standard poole, a 11 year old Golden retriever mix, 3 cats and a ferret and tehy all do this.
