If you want to get paid through Medicaid or Medicare, you have to be licensed as a Medicaid or Medicare provider. You'll also have to carry the state licenses for the type of care you are providing, and carry insurance. Requirements vary by state.

Get on the phone, and start calling your state medicare office.

There's a slim chance they would let you be a paid provider because of the risk of collusion (scamming the system by working together). But if you want to try, check with the party that cuts the checks - Medicaid or whoever.

Check with your State some places allow care for the elderly and it is paid through the State. I took gerontology in college and we had to volunteer to do something I visited the elderly but they did ask me if I would be willing to do some care and get paid for it. I wanted to go to school and care for my family so I did not look into it. Good Luck!
