ok, on ebay D80 is around $1360 including postage. While at local store the cheapest price is around $1620, and I tried to negotiate the price but since it is the cheapest price from authorised seller, there is no way I can make them lower their price, and it is from this website www.camera-warehouse.com.au , it has its own store.
Ok so should I buy from ebay or from this shop? Im in a dilemma because this 360 bucks difference means alot !

Ask the local camera store if they offer a couple of hours of instruction with the purchase. Ask them about any discounts on future purchases (lenses, flash units, etc.).

Be very careful about the warranty coverage when buying from ebay. If you end up with a ''gray market" camera and it breaks your "savings" from buying on ebay will quickly evaporate.

Also, think about this:

If you buy from ebay, will the people at the local camera store offer assistance when you come in with questions about your camera? Would you rather have a person face to face to ask questions of or do you enjoy spending time on the phone or emailing back and forth trying to get answers to technical questions?

How important is it to have a real camera store in your area? Would you miss having a real camera store? Have you ever spent a Saturday morning talking photography at this store? Have you met other photographers there who share your photographic interests?

If it were my decision to make I'd spend the extra $260 (1620 - 1360 = 260) and support my local business.

Go for the lowest price IF the warranty is Aussie valid and ALL the pieces are in the box.

Hope this helps and g'day to all my friends in Queensland.
