No barracks for the wives. There is base housing, or you have to find your own apartment off base, which the army will give you more money for. At least, that's how it worked 25 years ago.

The answer is no. Most tours in Korea are considered hard ship short tours and family members are not authorized to go with the soldier. That is not to say it's not possible, but if you follow your husband to Korea, you will have to live off base and do so at your own expense. Also, you will not be allowed to use the PX or commissary while there. You will likely not even be authorized on the base at all. The only exceptions to this is if it is a command tour where the soldier will be there for several years. I would highly recommend letting him complete his Korea tour alone. He'll get leave at least once if he wants it. You can also visit if you want.

No and most services have rules or the local commander has a modified rule against it usually. While some stations have barracks that allow individuals to have social visits even from members of the opposite sex it has the potential for creating problems so they don't allow over night stays for anyone and discourage it and I have heard of individuals getting in trouble and getting verbal and written reprimands for violating it.
While you may be his wife for the next person it may be just a boyfriend or girlfriend who is also probably a civilian and while they fall under the regulations of the base while they are on the installation they are handed over to the civilian authorities for minor infractions or trouble for prosecution. Most installation commanders just avoid all the potential problems that this situation can bring by putting the responsibility on the service member and having and enforcing the regulation.

First, no a wife cannot live in the barracks.
Second, if a spouse plans on accompanying a Soldier to Korea they need to be "command sponsored". That means they have to have permission to move to Korea with the Soldier. The spouse can live in either on-post housing or given an off-post apartment. If the spouse is NOT command sponsored, they are not eligible for housing, medical care, shopping privileges, and school for the kids. There are also passport, visa, pay, and legal issues if the spouse is not command sponsored. If the spouse plans to go to Korea without this command sponsorship, she will be completely living on her own without any military support (even financially). She will not even be able to drive in Korea. That is NOT a good idea!

No but yes. No if the AD member is living in those barracks, they could be sharing quarters, have an evening check, etc... But yes you can stay in a different part of the barracks that is open for temporary stay, travel, etc... You are charged per night though and it will depend on availability.
If he/she is stationed in Korea, it will depend on the AD member's rank/rate, where they are, etc... if they will be allowed to live out in town.

Yes they can and are. The military is frowning on Geo-Bachelors especially if there is a shortage of barracks in the area. It is tough but honestly isn't fair that you are getting free accomodation and BAH at the same time. Your choice is stay in barracks and give up BAH or find a place off base and become a roommate with several others who maybe going through the same thing.

This is your 3rd question..
Are you married to a guy in Korea and wanna live with him?
When I was in Korea spouses where not sponsored meaning thy did not recieve money for housing like they would in the states.....
Also your husband has to stay in his barracks, they are not allowed off post over night, i am sure people try it though.....

Have you ever smelled the barracks? I wouldn't want to live there even if I could. I would rather live in base housing or in an apartment out in town.

Negative, but I cant imagine you would want to either. Yes you can live off the base but there are rules about exactly where you can live and stuff like that. It's much easier (not to mention safer) to live on base though. Anytime you check into a new unit they will give you a list of out of bounds areas and businesses. They will also give you basically a survivors guide to the area which details where the markets and other essentials are.
