Honestly I don't think anyone races Italian Greyhounds, so I don't think anyone has ever measured this, sorry wish I could've been more help

The Italian Greyhound has the same rate of acceleration as its larger brother but doesn't have the same speed. The Greyhound can run at 45mph for short periods of time. The Italian Grey would be less than that. Then like its larger brother, it will be happy to hold your furniture down, so the furniture doesn't run away.

an italian greyhound is a companion pet.. not a performance dog. a greyhound is a sprinter..... an italian greyhound is a small house pet... big difference there!

Per AKC description, companion dog, unlike counter part of the Greyhound, not known for speed....timid, sleek, very sensitive to the cold, should not be left out or taken out in winter without jackets.....loyal to their owners....

Actually Iggys are permited in lure coursing (including AKC), amature NOTRA racing,and I think LGRA racing. But this is all rather infomal, people haveing fun with theire pets kinda thing, and I don't know if anyone ever used a stopwatch on an Iggy run.....
