Is there too much of an age difference? Are 30-somethings too OLD or MATURE to date 20-somethings?

What if one person's in his/her late 20's and the other's in his/her early 30's? Is that inappropriate?

Look, as long as they understand the age gap and can deal with it, let them do as they see fit

Rule of thumb is half your age plus seven to find the youngest you can date, and subtract seven from your age and multiple that number by two to find the oldest you can date. So for a 20 year old, the ranges would be 17-26 and for a 30 year old the ranges would be 22-46. As you can see the ranges get wider, the older you get.

Goodness.
My fiancé was born in October of 1978, while I was born in March of 1979.
A year from now, he'll be a 30-something, but I'll still be a 20-something. Does this mean he'll be too mature for me? *gasp*

I've dated a couple of women that were 7-9 years older than me and yeah.....the sex was good......but that's it. I've dated women that were 7-9 years younger than me too and we've had good party times together and yeah....the sex was good too. But I've had better relationships with women my own age. I've finally narrowed my searches to 5 years younger and only 2 years older than me. I've found it kinda hard to have anything in common with the older and younger women to talk about. As for being inappropriate.......nothing is inappropriate as long as they are consenting and of legal age.

Age is just a number!! Look at Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher...they're like 20 years apart!

Yes! My husband was 33 when we started dating and I was 25. We have been married for over a year and we just mesh so well. I couldn't date guys my age because of their maturity level.

Go for it! It could work out for you like it did for me.

As long as they are both over 18, who cares?

If you love someone then go for it, who cares what year you popped out of your mother? It doesn't matter.
