Could it be that Jesus never asked there to be a religion created in his name? I only remember the scripture that says, "The only way to the father is but by me" which I know in my heart means, "a life like mine" and not literally "worship me."
Jesus also said, "You can do these things that I do and more if you have faith, if you ask a mountain to throw itself in the ocean then it will get up and move into the ocean." Magick is just a word to describe the manipulation of energy in ways like this, but the church has made this power seem like something evil when Jesus himself used it and said we could, too!
Could it be that the church is actually part of the false prophets that the book of Revelations spoke of? I have known that meeting with people on the street here who go out with megaphones claiming to be doing their work in the name of God are really just judging and condemning people, and Christ would have never done that!

There is even a scripture that speaks out against this kind of behavior, saying that you should not go out to the crossroads and preach or form in church, but that the sanction with God should be withing your own heart and home.
I'm not posting this to harm or stir anyone's faith, but I hope that people can realize the word the word of God and hear it within their own hearts; because we are all part of that energy.

Can you explain the difference between miracles and magic/magick/majic/etc then? To me, the manipulation of energy by realizing the God within yourself is just that... So Jesus set the example of realizing God within ourselves, but then people are condemned if they make those kind of claims... You get labeled with "Messianic Complex" and like answerer Tammi said that I should keep Jesus out of my beliefs, because what I feel in my heart is crap.
That's the exact behavior I am talking about; it's not Christ-like by any means, yet she's claiming to be a Christian the way her answer is worded. Jesus would be more compassionate and careful to explain things to me, rather than tell me that my own heart is lying to me.
This is why I believe that people who are misinterpreting the scripture and focused around the dogmatic teachings of the church are lost to the living God within themselves!
Thank you Tammi... If nothing else, you only helped me illustrate my point more clearly.

Then who are the false prophets the Bible speaks of? And who but the government and religious leaders to be the ones to rule the world doing the bidding of Satan, if this world does not truly belong to Satan?

Well I do believe we are living in the end times and that the second coming of Christ is going to be a spiritual awakening in our consciousness rather than a physical manifestation.
I believe I am a prophet because of what the universe has revealed to me, but of course I will be no doubt mocked for saying this, too. But I would say to you, "Why could God not speak to us as God spoke to the prophets of the Bible?"

I just think that if everyone was a little bit nicer to everyone else, and tolerated imperfections as human, the world would be a nicer place....Peace man!

There are many contradictions in the Bible & watch how many Christians will be the first to defend that! These people often believe want they want to believe & turn their backs on the truth b/c they are scared into a closed mind way of thinking. After all Christianity threathens the condemnent of hell if you don't do what they say. What kind of loving God is threatening? Divination for example is a form of Magick and the Bible states "Do not practice divination or soothsaying" Leviticus 19:26 AND "Do not go to mediums or fortune tellers" Leviticus 19:31. BUT there are MORE versus that give examples of Divination and mediums being used!
I don't feel like typing all the verses out but here are some for referrence: Genesis 44:4-5, Genesis chapters 40 & 41, 20:3, 31:11, 19, 24, & 30, Exodus 28:15 & 30, Ezekiel 21:26, Leviticus 16:7-8, Deuteronomy 13:2-4 & 33:8, Numbers 12:6 & 27:2, Ezra 2:62-63, Nehemiah 7:64-65 to name a few examples of divination being used through dreams, scrying, and the use of "lots". Now ask any Christian and they will give an explaination to these verses and twist them around to their beliefs but take them for what you wish.
God only spoke to Moses correct? Then how did others hear the word of God? Through divination? Through channeling? Through Saints (which are spirits)? If so then why aren't Saints considered mediums? What makes them different or seperate from any other good spirit?
Psychic abilities aren't a gift from God nor are they a power from the Devil. They are a 6th sense which we all posess but most people choose to ignore or they are scared of aknowledging.
The problem is that some people put all of their faith into God when they should be putting faith in themselves! God is there to help and guide you if you have faith. Nowhere does it state that you shouldn't have faith in yourself. God is not living your life, you are!

Jesus never performed magick, He performed miracles. I have not seen mankind be able to perform the kind of miracles Jesus performed. Jesus does not expect us to live a life like His, He expects us to keep the commandments, pray to Him, honor Him, follow the Bible and worship Him. He said if you have faith the size of a mustard seed you can say to the mountain to move and it will move. Not anyone I have met has had enough faith to move a mountain. I do not know where you are getting your scripture and meanings from but you need to read your Bible and pray for understanding because you seem very mixed up right now. Revelation won't come into the picture until the end of time. It is telling you what will happen when this world is over. The church is not a false prophet, there are many people out there who are and you have to be able to know the real prophets from the false prophets. You will know them by their works. Please read your Bible, you have made some very wrong statements and you need to better understand what they are.

First off let me say im a pagan but also believe in Jesus not in the same sense as the bible bangers but in the sense he was a great teacher and a great healer, i am learning Reiki and i my thoughts on it it was that of what Jesus used to heal, the problem being the people back then did not have the understanding of what he was doing and trying to teach them instead they turned him into a god after he was dead then twisted his teachings around to fit the current need which was the rise of power. I almost pitty those who continue to throw the bible around even thou it was WRITTEN by a MAN !! you can say the same about any of the book religions they all claim to be the word of God, they were all written by man, and they all say they are the only way.. Personally im glad im on my path with my Lord and Lady who have shown me the road. For others i say look inside yourself, God/Goddess is everywhere and you can hear them if you listen, eveyone has there own path and road but they all ultimately lead to the same place, christians created the devil to have someone blame there problems on and to create fear to help control the people. I hope that you look into yourself and find your own path and to each his own. I will continue on my path to enlightenment. I will continue to take responsibilty for my thoughts and actions instead of blaming the cute little red guy downstairs..

satan has allways been trying to imitate god,he is the father of all lies. it may look to some who are being decieved, thatJesus practiced, majick but the truth is that Jesus is all powerful he is the creator.satan is the illusionist .the old testament. the high priest had to go through all theese rituals of cleansing and had to have all theese specific garments on before he could enter the tent where the ark was. he communitated with God using theese things that seem to be something like the pendulum or dousing aparatus it was called the urim and thummim he used them to ask God questions and god would answer through theese objects. the high priest wasnt practicing magic.God specifically forbids it. satan imitates to the best of his ability every thing about god he even told eve that if she ate the fruit from that tree she would be like god herself.so way back from day one satan has been repeating the same lie .open a Bible and study for your self and ask Jesus to show you the truth and you will be amazed. because he will

Not magic, my friend, miracles. A total difference. "The only way to the Father is by Me"- means the way to get to know God and have eternal life is through the Cross of Jesus Christ. Jesus never used magic- He truly healed, He truly rose from the dead. Sorry, when the Bible said that witchcraft and anything like magic was done, it was condemned, and Jesus was not condemned by God was He? Sorry- Jesus came to earth to show the love and power of God- not manipulate people into believing by using magic of the world.

You're confused. Chris Angel performs magic. Jesus the Christ performed miracles.
You're wrong when you say Jesus would never judge people. Read your Bible and you will see that isn't true. When he overturned the moneychangers tables you better believe He was making a judgment!

R u sure Christ didn't judge? He spoke to the Pharisees quite meanly! And he also said that on Peter he will build his church and hell will not defeat it! And magic is from the devil; Miracles r from God! And if God didn't want a religion, he would've stopped Christianity!

"You can do these things that I do and more if you have faith, if you ask a mountain to throw itself in the ocean then it will get up and move into the ocean." - This passage does not mean majic. It means that if you have faith in God, impossible things may happen. There are miracles that can happen if you have faith in God. And pls do remember that MIRACLE is very different from MAJIC/ MAJICK.
