Do girls enjoy getting Hickeys?

Do girls acutally enjoy getting hickies? If they do why then are some of them embarrassed to have them and try to hide them?

Yes, like another person wrote, hickeys are bruises that result from a gnawing-type kiss. I like the kiss, if it's from the right person. ;) But I doubt most people like hickeys in visible locations on their bodies (face, neck, collarbone region, etc.). It isn't, well, "polite" to be showcasing your hickeys.

It seems some teens and pre-teens like showcasing hickeys as a sort of status symbol to their peers. It's like saying, "Look! I am romantically/sexually involved with another person!" Once you grow out of that period of your life, you don't want visible hickeys because it isn't professional in any environment.

Hickies are gross and you dont need them to proclaim you're taken. People look down on you for having them. Kisses are nice, just don't over do it. Speaking for both guys and girls.

I think girls enjoy being kissed. They don't necessarily want a huge, disgusting bruise as a badge of honor.

a hickey is caused when a blood vessel bursts under the skin. it's a bruise and they're often painful. so, no. i'm all for kisses but no hickies for me please.

Maybe once or twice in their life time. Then its just an annoying bruise to waste cover stick on.
