does age matter?

ive been wondering things about age . . .for example is it wrong for a 50 year old man to flirt with a 20 year old woman? but what if the woman is creeped out? but than if u reverse it where the 20 year old flirts with the 40 year old would it be any different?

Age should not matter in any case. It's not wrong for 50 to 20. If it creeps her out, it's still not wrong (of course if he stalks her afterwards and stuff...). But of course if it bothers her, then I do not think that he should continue.

Anyway, age should never matter. It's what's in the heart. The heart wants what the heart wants. If both of them loved each other, then what wrong is it in that?

Honestly yes age does matter...the difference between a 20 yr and a 30 yr old is completely different.. a 20 yr olds life is just starting while a 30 yr old (should) be well on their way.. not saying that in sum situations its different.. now if the 20 yr old acts like theyre older than they are.. if theyre more mature for their age or the 30 yr old acts a little younger than sure its fine.. 50 and 20?? now thats a little awkward.. and usually if the younger woman is flirting with the 50 yr old man.. its USUALLY not because shes attracted to him.. if the woman is creeped out by the 50 yr old than it should stop.. i would be freaked out thats a little gross.. i guess it just depends on the maturity of the two people.. but all in all i think it does matter..

Age does matter but it just depends on each person. now in general -its all about social norms. if a 50 y.o makes a move on a 20 y.o, this old person is looked at a pervert. this will make that 20 y.o uncomfortable because 50 is not his or her age group. In society it is less likely for a young person to want an old-old person, but it is likely for a old-old person to want a young person for personal reasons. Now if a 20 y.o makes a move on a old person person, then that old person NORMALLY would say no because they are not in the same age group. But it would be flattering because they may feel young because a young person is interested. Lately, the social norms have been changing. now in most cases the old person does not say No for this reason (they feel young when they are with a young person). I'm 21 y.o and personally I do not plan to date anyone younger than 20y.o or older that 25 y.o.

It i s a big difference and the relationship is most likely not going to work out if it is a 10 or above age differance. The states of maturity & mind are just to different. Who knows though nothing is impossible just stay away from the seventeen year olds.

its only wrong if the 20 year old takes offense. if the woman is creeped out its sexual harassment. same thing goes for the 40 year old - if they don't like it, its not ok. Its all about perception.

Flirting can be innocent, but flirting can also be manipulative and mean.

I think if it is an innocent flirting situation, then there is nothing wrong with it. There are older men that innocently flirt with me at work, and I go along with it for amusement. If either one of us was serious, I would be wierded out.

If you are a old dirty man, you better have a lot of money to be picking up on a 20 year old. It's pretty trendy nowadays (I know it's a double standard) for older women to be with younger women; i.e. Demi Moore and Ashton.......

Hey, honestly I don't think it matters at all, i'm seeing this guy that is 27 and i am 18..i like him a lot..age really does not matter , if u like someone that much than go for it =]

no age doesn't matter, but according to the law, girls under 18 does matter. which is pretty dumb if your boy friend is 18 and your like 16 or 17
