Jesus could have existed but I rather doubt him as The son of God or whatever fables are out there.

The nature of the subject "Jesus" is rather very serious than "shakespeare",coz it would impact a society greatly depending on the belief that one has in this regard.(whether true or false)

about 2000 years ago, he was in the world, he was real not a created character as you said.
if jesus is only a created character,
why all his disciples (except judas) also paul were willing to die for him ???
why they were so eager to spread the gospel which has no foundation if jesus was a myth???
May the Lord Jesus open your eyes...

Before the Council of Nicaea (345 AD), there are no first hand written accounts of Jesus. The main written documents are by Josephus and Tacitus. Josephus' accounts were shown to have been tampered with and Tacitus refers to a 'Christus' which is a word many religiopns of the time used to describe their god-man savior.
As far as W. Shakespear goes, who actually authored the texts with his name are in question. I read in the last few months about certain 'mysteries' of history. The Jesus thing was not included. There is speculation about a Jesus' existence and whether certain writings refer to 'him' but there is definitely nothing about any miracle performer in historical accounts at all (outside of the NT documents) before the Nicaea council (the meeting Constantine ordered where 'the church' established which books to follow and what 'they' believed).

He is real!!! well... okay, there's no proof but you know God's real right??? Well, I know that. There are 3 different parts of god. God the father, God the holy Spirit, and God the Son. They're all forms of God. God the Father is the one we refer to most of the time. God the holy spirit is the one we pray to. God the Son came and saved us from sins! (Oh wait, theres your proof Jesus exsists!) If Jesus didn't come and save us, which one of us would know respect, kindess, leadership, etc.? I beleive that Jesus is real. He is not a created character. I'm sure there will be some gaps along the whole Christianity thing but if you dig deep enough, there's answers for all of them!

Many ancient secular writers mention "Jesus" and the movement he birthed, and the fact that they are antagonistic to christianity makes them reliable..
#1-Cornelius Tacitus-a.d. 55-120..roman historian
#2-Lucian of Samosata-a greek satirist of the latter half of the second century..Lucian spoke scornfully of "Christ" ...
#3-Suetonius - another roman historian ..
#4-Pliny the younger- governor of Bithynia in Asia Minor A.D.112...
#5-Thallus - one of the first secular writers who mentions "Christ " is Thallus , dated perhaps at A.D. 25
#6- Phlegon another secular authority , he wrote a history called 'Chronicles' some of his work was lost however fragments have been found and preserved by 'Julius Africanus'
#7- Mara Bar-serapion -he was a syrian and stoic philosopher...and there are many more ..but I'm tired....
What a great questions ! I love history.... Good luck today with all of your answeres! :) Leah~

Yes Jesus (PBUH) Realy Exist,
But He is a Prophet of Allah Not the Son of GOD

And [on account of] their saying: "We killed the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, messenger of God." They did not kill him and they did not crucify him, but it was made to seem so to them. Those who argue about him are in doubt about it. They have no real knowledge of it, just conjecture. But they certainly did not kill him.
(Qur'an, 4:157)

We gave Moses the Book and sent a succession of Messengers after him. We gave Jesus, son of Mary, the Clear Signs and reinforced him with the Purest Spirit... (Qur’an, 2:87)

When an example is made of the son of Mary, your people laugh uproariously. They retort: "Who is better, then, our deities or him?" They only say this to you for argument's sake. They are indeed a disputatious people. He is only a servant upon whom We bestowed Our blessing and whom We made an example for the Children of Israel. If We willed, We could appoint angels in exchange for you to succeed you on Earth. (Qur'an, 43:57-60)

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only!
Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
He begetteth not nor is He begotten.
And there is none like unto Him.

Jesus was an actual historical figure who appears in writings of historians of the period and not just religious writings. His crucifiction was also documented.Peter Jennings did a news story several years ago in the Holy Land and other places where Jesus traveled. The investigation was to answer the same question you ask,and he found overwhelming evidence and concluded that He did in fact actually exist.

He was most likely a real person, only not the son of God. There were lots of "messiahs" around then, but Jesus' seemed to appeal to the masses.

He really lived, and He lives today. He sits on the right hand of God the Father in heaven.

There is a lot of historical evidence that He lived, besides the bible.

My most convincing evidence is that He lives within my heart. Seek Him and you will find Him waiting with open arms to offer you the free gift of salvation. God bless.
