Go to a better shoe store and get a good supportive shoe. Maybe purchase two pair and change in the middle part of the day. Just a change sometimes helps standing on your feet all day. Many people have that same complaint about concrete floors. Being overweight is also tough on your knees and feet all day. Maybe at your break time take a short walk. Drink a lot of water to stay hydrated. Try changing your shoes twice a day just to get a more comfort change for you.

When I stood on concrete that long, my feet hurt really bad until I bought a pair of Ecco shoes. They are pricey and not appropriate for industrial use, but they are great when you have "booth duty" all day long at a trade show.

light jogging style shoes ....with great cushion....NOT basketball style shoes.
Concrete will hurt your feet before you even know it....even if they feel ok, go home and once you take off your shoes.....then you feel how tough it is.
I might also recommend something in a slightler larger size and buy some of those cushiony inserts for extra padding..
Regardless, for those of us who have worked on concrete floors and stood in the same general area for most of the day.....still recommned pulling some type of mat (rubber perhaps) in the work area if possible.

Ive seen some shoe inserts you can get and they are for standing round for a long time. They reduce the pressure.
Try your local chemist.

Get some crocs. Lots of hospital workers and cooks wear them all the time. They are ugly but inexpensive. And you can just toss them in the dishwasher to clean them.
