Ok, so, there's this guy that I like- he's a junior and on the varsity basketball team. I'm a freshman, but look a bit older for my age. He seems cool, but I have no classes with him and only sometimes see him on campus. How can I get to know him, and would it be dumb to expect anything knowing that he's two years older than me?

There was this really amazing looking girl that gave me her phone number but when I found out she was a freshmen, and I'm a junior (even though I'm only 1 year older than her in age) I never called her. But this is because i met her friends too and I didn't want to have my facebook page populated with freshmen girls. Anyway, try to talk to someone who knows him, an older guy friend or older brother and find out how he picks up girls. Is he shy and needs friends around or is he outgoing? Personally, I'm shy and am better with a friend with me, but if a girl waves to me or says hi I'll go up and talk to her. So, just say hi to him. I'm not sure whether you should say , "hi (name)" because it can make you seem stalker-y, but it can also end up in him laughing and asking what your name is. Last tip: if you're not good looking, I wouldn't recommend trying because then he'll tell his friends about how this ugly freshmen tried to hit on him. Good Luck!

Not really...two years of age isn't that big of a difference, and especially at the age you are at. I think that you should just start hanging out with him. Go to all of his games. Hang out with him after those games (unless he's swept away by his team).

But going to his games is a good start. Make sure to talk to him afterwards. Congratulate him on winning or congratulate him on putting effort in order to win.

Eventually, he will probably ask you out. Unless he already has a girlfriend.
