My first husband and I are divorced since our daughter was 9 mnths. She recently told us that she has been repeatedly molested by her grandfather during visitations with her dad. i ave done all the proper things since then, notified social services, she has been physically examined twice and they found scaring on her cervix and a partially torn hymen both times (different doc's) she also has been to two different child therapists who say it definatly happend. The thing is, the case has been "shelved" i was told by the investigating attorney because the district attorney says that she is not a crediable witness because she is only 6 and that there is not enough evidence to prosicute. I have emailed and called the uninted states justice dept., he congressman for my area and local news stations, including CNN and NBC. What else can I do? I don't understand why justice can't be found in this matter!

i really feel like just because of her age that this perv is being allowed to do this! there has been no sort of punishment at all. her dad will not talk to her about it. she said she told him about it when it was happening as well. he did nothing. my hands are tied! i just don't know what to do, short of taking him out myself. then, my ex would get her anyway cause i'd be in jail!

First, I am sorry to hear about your situation. It must be horrible. Have you contacted your hometown news station? Have you pursued this matter in a civil court? If the criminal justice system has failed you and your daughter, I would suggest seeking counsel in a civil capacity. Should he be found negligent, he may be responsible for the present and future doctor / psychologist bills. The outcome may not be a prison term for dear ole’ granddaddy, but you may be able to cripple him financially, which is better than nothing. God bless, my prayers are with you and your daughter.

Have you filed charges with your local police? Ask for copies of everything you have done and then maybe call a child and family services office to see if they can help you also. Maybe get your daughter in to see a psychiatrist or counselor so she can talk to them. They can very well interprate her through playing with toys and dolls. I woud also raise more hell. If my son's elementary school can show them a play on good touch/bad touch, she very well is a credible witness and that DA is b.s'ing you. Call a local news station, radio station and news paper. Have them obscure your identities so you cannot be identified and the city you live in. Don't give up! The squeaky wheel get's the oil.

Sad to say that justice is not fair in people's eyes. It's hard if it's a child and a grandfather involves in a case. If the attorney don't believe you ask help from media.
Media will help you but make sure that your child will have protection not to be exploited.
And of course prayer. A lot of prayer for your daughter. I will also include you in my prayer.

Is it possible that you are able to take your daughter away from them and you take care of her? If yes, get her out of the hell she is living now. If police wanted to catch you, you have the right to say things out. If justice can't do anything to help you out then you got to use snatch to help the poor girl. But you need to communicate with your girl first. Best Wishes.

Get dad's visitation limited to not include grandpa and/or monitored visitation.
Where is Grandma? Call her if she is alive and around.
Talk to your ex. What does he have to say on the matter? He might not want to hear his dad is doing stuff like that, but he can't possibly condone it. Confront him.

Find his other victims. If he did this to your daughter I would bet he has done this to other children who now maybe older and able to testify on her behalf.
