you text them "hey hows it going, you busy" then when they reply "its been going good, no", you call them and start talking

another version would be texting them..." hey you wanna talk" and if they reply "sure", then you call them instead of texting them....but usually i alway want to make sure they arent busy with anything by texting then calling....does that make it too clingy....is there another way...

Well if you're worried if they're busy, then that's a great way to check. I do that sometimes too just to make sure they want to talk. But don't do it all the time, it'll seem weird, lol

Just pick up the phone and call. Ask, "Can you talk?" then start talking

just call. texting first seems too clingy.

Try talking to them in person, it's harder, but it helps.
