I find a good way to study a foreign language is to take a movie I know every line from in English, and watch it in that foreign language.

Apart from Disney movies, I've only seen one movie dubbed in Korean (Silence of the Lambs) and the Korean DVD doesn't even have the Korean track on it.

Does anyone know of some Korean-dubbed movies apart from Disney, some specific titles? And a good source for Korean materials other than Aladdin? (No Korea-based sites, though, I don't have a shiminbunho)

I live in Korea and almost all movies are dubbed on VHS, if you got to one of the billions of video/comic renal places, it's loaded with em
If you're not in Korea, well, tough luck

When a movie is made in one language and the distributor wants to show the movie in another language, there are two ways of doing it. Subtitling is to translate the dialogue and put in subtitles (writing at the bottom of the screen). The original language is still heard. Dubbing is to replace the original dialogue track with one recorded in the other language. Dubbing can also be adding dialogue to the movie after it has been filmed. This is very prevalent in Italian movies in particular. They usually dont bother recording sound at all and dub it all in post production. It is easier than getting people to shut up on set. It is done rarely to censor a film for a more lenient rating. I dont think you mean this in the context of your question. There is no such thing as dubbed subtitle. It is one or the other.

Hmmm. You might be able to find Harry Potter. Dave's ESL Cafe is a good source for info about living and working in Korea. In fact, I'd probably call it the best. You can also look at some of the Korean tourist sites, but they might not be what you have in mind.
