Alright, so I've never even really wondered much as to what my dreams have meant. I don't really think twice about them, normally. But for the last, well, almost year, I've had one dreams that occurs over and over again. The situation I'm in is always different, but my dream ends with me falling to my knees, unable to walk, and thus scraping my knees while I try to walk (but continue to fall down). I've been undergoing some very major changes in my life as the result of some awful events that occurred between 3 years ago until around 11 months ago. I've wondered if that could have something to do with it. Anyone have any ideas on what my reoccurring dreams could mean? Thanks guys.

Recurring dreams are sometimes like a check-up at the doctor's office. I have had a recurring dream about a house, the same house, throughout my life. I finally realized that I WAS the house, and the state of the house reflected the state of my life. During an abusive marriage, there were dead people in the house. Lately, I've been redecorating the house.
You have problems that have literally brought you to your knees. When things get tough, you probably have this dream. There is an answer to your problems in your dream -- - stand back up after life knocks you down. But, it's too much at this time. Just keep struggling to stand in the dream, as you struggle to stand in real life. One night, you will have the dream, and you will make it up to your feet, and stay standing! Your dream wants you to accept that these are very tough problems, and it's understandable to fall. It recognizes how hard it is to get back up after what you have been through. It offers an answer, and hope! Good Luck! I hope things turn for the better!

My view of dreams is that they are only important to the dreamer and it's the dreamer that should try to pick it apart.

Try this; what does, "falling to knees" mean to you? List six or seven different ideas. What does, "unable to walk" say? What does, "scraping my knees" say? What does, "try to walk....continue to fall down" say?

The first thing that really grabs your attention in each of your lists may help you "see" what you're trying to say to yourself. As an outsider, sounds like: not ready to move forward, not moving forward hurts too, and trying doesn't work either.

Change is one of hardest of things for humans because we don't really accept that everything around us is in a state of change (the seasons change, the earth turns, the leaves fall, our relationships change, and etc.) And thinking that we too change constantly is hard. Or, can we change our perspective and think that change is the natural way of all things?

Embrace change.

Cheers,

Monk

Well your dream reflects your situation of 3 years : you have been not able of getting up, of moving on with your life, you have tried hard ( scraping your knees) yet you have not been able to walk ( symbolically) - you're down on the floor -fallen- and cannot go away from the troubles.
Interesting dream.
Wish you'll be Ok very soon.
Good luck

sounds like a dream about feelings of vulnerability and powerlessness, and perhaps a notion that to keep on functioning or moving on with life could be fearfull and hazardous - as changes often are.
