I know in Israel Jewish women can get free infertility treatments, but I was told that same programs are offered to Jewish women in America. I have heard of some in NY,but I need more details to find these programs all over USA? Also,in NY how many times can a woman get the free treatments in NY? I need the answers for my sister, she is Jewish but her husband is not. She feels she is having trouble getting the second treatment for this reason. But the children will be Jewish because of the mother. So,how does one qualify for the free treatments? I need information on all the free programs that're available for Jewish women on this issue. Thank you.

For advice related to this subject, speak to counselors at the Puah Institute for Fertility and Medicine & Halacha. They are very knowledgeable about all medical and halachic (Torah law) aspects of fertility. I once accompanied a friend to their office and can vouch for their professionalism and sensitivity. They can also be contacted by phone and on-line.

Good luck; may you hear good news soon.

Edit: Bonei Olam may prove helpful to some women out there.
"Bonei Olam . . . mission is to provide funding for all aspects of fertility treatments, thus relieving couples of the financial, emotional and physical stress resulting from infertility."

Wow! I have never heard of a program like that either. I'm Jewish and suffered through infertility treatments. It would have been nice to know that there might have been a program that I might have benefited from. Well, I truly hope that such a program exists and can help women achieve their dream of motherhood. I have been blessed by one son-and hat's all I can have.

I've heard about it, I think it's free for Isreali citizens though you must check with the ministry of health -Israel is one of the world leaders in inferttility and pregnancy field.
