Just Atheist. I like Pagans, Buddhists and related type religions. It's the ones that came out of the middle east that give me problems. I call them the basic 3. Weird how they became the main religions. Fear is a big persuader. Yeah, we can jump on a question like piranha on a side of beef. lol

It's fine if you are a deist. That makes some sense but religion makes no sense. The confusion and misunderstandings by and between all religions are pretty serious. They all have problems with each other. Each one claims to know and have the truth when its up for grabs most of the time.
If people want to share ideas and ideals that is fine, but to be told by some religion that you are a unworthy creature on this planet and the only way to achieve a reward is through their specific teaching is horrifying.

An atheist believes that God doesn't exist. An "anti-religious person just hates any mention of God, worship, etc.....
I've never figured out why any "atheist" would bother arguing with any believer...because why would you argue over something that isn't there? it would be a waste of time and effort...if you really believe there is no God.
The truth is that God made each of us with a built in knowledge He does exist, even when we try to deny it.
It is our own arrogance that decides we know more than God, and refuse to listen to Him....and He already knows who will do that....and "choose" not to believe Him. He knows the beginning from the end....and what we will choose...but He still allows us the choice! He's allowed a certain amount of time to each of us to do that....then...in eternity, the choice will be over. That can be a scary thought!
He just says "Choose this day, Whom you will serve, because if you choose not to listen to God, you have already chosen
Satan's way instead.....there are really only two paths to take.

I don't believe in god, so yes, I am an atheist. I would not call myself anti-religious though--I think belief systems are essential for culture and community in human relations.
Some may consider me anti-religious in the sense that I don't see very much sincerity and faith in organized religion. Instead, I see hateful rhetoric and a focus on appearances rather than faith and fellowship.

I think I might be both. I'm not really "against" either God, or religion, as long as it's not forced onto others.
I believe there may be a god, but
I don't honestly know if there is any type of God "up there" No one really does.
Mostly, I'm just against other people trying to push other people into their religion.
And the fact that religion has caused more wars and hatred than anything else in this world.

I believe in a higher power. I just don't agree with organized religion. I think it is entertainment and making the preachers very rich. Which reminds me, didn't Jesus drive the money changers from the temple. I also recall that it is as hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven as it is for a camel to go through the eye of a needle. Interesting?

My opinion of this is, go away and leave me alone. But any door-to-door Bible thumpers visit my place better wear armor and long plastic raincoats.
As for the outspoken evangelism activity HERE, well, maybe cannibals had the right idea when they used to put on the stewpot as the ship dropped anchor ....

I am neither...however i do disagree with you..
for ex: i would consider myself "anti-religious" for i have extreme issues with organized religion...however, i do consider myself a very spiritual being that does believe in a Divine Supreme Being, most commonly referred to as God.
And i also tend to believe that if one is Atheist, then they are anti-religious as well....
Just my humble pagan thoughts...

I'm an atheist. I don't believe in God. That doesn't mean I'm against religion. I'm definitely not. It's caused some major problems in history but it is beautiful and part of our species so I respect religion and those who practice it. It runs deep.

I am an atheist. I am not necessarily anti-religion, although I am certainly opposed to some of the practices of certain religions.
