Now: X-Jet for modern, but overall Southwest, they have a colorful unique scheme you can spot anywhere, plus unique aircraft, such as three "Shamoo" painted 737s and a couple comemmorating certain achievements within Southwest

Past airline would be Braniff with the bold colors and the now airline would be the Continental Airlines 777 painted by Peter Max. Just my opinion.

Northwest Airline's relatively new paint scheme that has the whole plane in silver with the black NWA on the forward fuselage... it is a really nice contrast...

Haha this is the one quetsion i have read here that really makes me think. I would have to say that the new finnair and the special malyasia aircraft have the most increadibe paint. but going back into the retro days of aviation. i would have to say american was pretty cool. but they are not keeping up wit the times.

I love the paint on the fleet of Emirates. It's elegant and not overdone. I also love the old PanAm fleet. The PanAm logo is recognized anywhere.
