The first and second book of adam and eve alone is much much more interesting than whats found in genesis. That version just makes more sense.

Like how Cain and Abel were each born with a twin sister.

I know what the word means, thanks. As you can see I put it in quotes. As far as I am concerned the entire bible could be apocryphal.

What makes genesis so grand and the version "false" you should read it. It is clear much better written. and more detailed. True or not.

It'd be at least a tad more difficult for the religious to indoctrinate people with their ideologies if they were to acknowledge and accept texts which don't conform to their catechisms.

There are many MANY contradictions in the bible as we know it today. It is not possible to have so much contradiction in ANYTHING and honestly believe it is ALL true. That is just plain old common sense so why is 02 getting such a ration of CRAP?? Truth of the matter is that the bible along with many other christian scriptures have been corrupted and changed by the governing powers throughout history. This has been systematically done for the purpose of control over the masses. I personally dont know where to find it on the net but you can find scriptures from the earliest known bibles and they are ALOT different than whats found in todays bible. Also if the people interested in this topic take the time to track down the translations of the dead sea scrolls they will get a REAL wake up call....or maybe I should say "REALITY CHECK" It is going to be hard to find some of the more recent translations tho, because our organized religions and the government have basically put a gag order on that information to keep it out of the public eye. NEED I SAY MORE????

I totally agree with you. I think Christians are so afraid of them because they may not be the word of God. Still it is interesting to get different perspectives of the time, ya know? Anyone who wants to come to their own conclusions should explore all perspectives...not just blindly accept one because some authority told them to.

Dont any of you realize that the Greek meaning of the word "apocrypha" means FALSE!!!!!!!
We are warned about False prophets, False teachers.
Luke 20:46 & 47 ....Jesus says to " BEWARE of the SCRIBES" which desire to walk in long robes, & love greetings in the markets, & the Highest seats in the synagogues.............Which DEVOUR widows' houses, & for a SHOW, make LONG prayers: the same SHALL receive greater DAMNATION!!!!!!!!

This is what we Christians have against apocryphal books...
(sound like any particular RELIGION you know?) (which happens to use as their dogma......THE APOCRYPHA!!

Uh..sara, yes it MOST CERTAINLY DOES MEAN FALSE
Ive Majored in Greek, & so u cant tell me what it doesnt mean without PROOF.....Stop Blaming Christians for problems & issues u have....TAKE IT UP WITH THE LORD
God said it, I Beleive it, That settles it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alterego... Apocrypha did NOT originally mean False. That is BS and I hope you know it. The protestants are the ones who changed the meaning to False.

Probably because they show their beliefs to be fables at best. At worst, completely wrong.
