It's -19 deg C outside tonight in southern Manitoba. Isn't it funny all this talk of global warming and it's -19 deg C.
It just seems sooooo cold. Just fifteen years ago normal mid December temperatures night would have been minus 35 to minus 40 deg C, but not any more. Want to see evidence of global warming, this is it. It may be cold outside, but in comparison, it’s balmy out.
On the bright side I'm not feeding my furnace as much CO2 emitting fossil fuel.
Isn't it funny how your perception of cold changes after it warms up over a few years?

I'm not familar with the climate of Manitoba (other than cold and snow) but if -35°C is the seasonal norm then you should be prepared for a fall in temps.

-19°C is caused by local weather conditions and as you know, these can change quickly.

It tends to be the colder northern regions that are most affected by global warming - northern Canada, Siberia, the Arctic region etc and in some parts of Siberia temps have been as much as 8°C above the long term norm. On a global scale temps are just short of 1°C above the norm.

I hope those balmy conditions stay with you a while longer. It's 3°C here are the moment and it's feeling very cold. 3°C is normal for the time of year, it just that it's been considerably warmer so a return to normal makes it feel a lot colder. Still, compared to -19°C it's not exactly cold here is it.

Global warming will create instability in the climate. There will be more extremes in temps, precipitation, drought, and wind. Check out the sub-tropical storm Olga. It could hit the US coast in a week. A winter tropical storm will devastate the region! At least you guys are expecting harsh conditions. The people of America are not a hardy bunch when it comes to extreme cold. Let's see what happens this winter.

worldwide climate exchange can't be measured by potential of the exchange in seasons. in certainty the situation of determining the validity of long term climate exchange is that all and sundry the tips we've dates decrease back to AFTER industrialization began, so how do we in all probability understand if industrialization is inflicting climate exchange if pre-business archives does no longer exist? one element all of us understand for effective is that industrialization reasons pollutants and one results of specific varieties of pollutants is that it will create variations interior the ambience which will bring about ordinary climate cycles. that's a time-venerated certainty and has easily been shown. Your capability analysis is slightly unsuitable too. You fail to nicely known that the universal capability enter to the ambience, the sunlight, does no longer exchange dramatically, and the only variations i understand of incorporate photograph voltaic flares and sunspots. the different capability factors you're speaking approximately are insignificant whilst in comparison with radiation from the sunlight. The ensuing warmth that warms the earth relies upon on the chemical makeup of the ambience.
