I don't get it. Why waste your valuable and terminal trial of existence when you could be enjoying your life instead. What will it make any difference to you after you die? Personally what I believe is that you're all scared there is no God, so you argue that there isn't a God in hopes of being proved wrong. Remember that with each day you do not believe in God, you are that much closer to eternal torment. Believe.

Why do Christians preach there is a God?

Ok, not all Atheists "preach" that there is no god. We leave the preaching to the Christians. It's the same thing as when a Christian preaches that there is and that everyone who does not believe the exact same thing as they do will be sent to the firey damnations of hell.
We do not believe that there is a god or gods. I personally, don't care if you believe that a god exists or does not. It's your soul. Do as you wish with it.
I am not "scared" that there is no god. If there is, well I'll find that out in the end.
I do believe. I believe in karma and in reincarnation. I believe in evolution. I believe that you should not harm any one and that you should not judge. It may not be the same thing that you believe, but I do have beliefs. Even if they do not revolve around a theological being.
I have a question for you, "Why waste you valuable and terminal trial of existence when you could be enjoying your life instead? What will it make any difference to you after you die?"

I have NEVER had an atheist preach anything! Nor Hindu's, Buddhists, Wiccans, or any pagan. But invariably at least once a week someone will come up to me and say "Do you know Jesus" or "Have you been saved". Now I am not an atheist, I am a witch, and I believe in a number of Goddesses and Gods, all part of nature. The Bible is too full of fallacies, violence, contradictions. I would not want my child reading that the proper way do discipline a disobedient child is by stoning them to death. And I don't think I would want them growing up believing in unicorns, talking snakes and talking donkeys. And of course.all you Good Christians KNOW that the bible is 100% accurate, isn't it?

I have to say that R&S is a place for religous freedom and expression, but I also have to say that I think that specific comment (There is no God) has no place when the question does not call for such an answer. The statement is nothing more than a PERSONAL opinion and by saying such a thing the answerer is doing nothing more than trying to impose thier belief system on others.
In the REAL WORLD we call this controlling behavior.
In the REAL WORLD we call this manipulation.
In the REAL WORLD, we call people who act in such ways as domineering, abusive, and some other adjectives that I probably shouldn't post where kids can see them.

well, i know this was said before because they don't want to believe that to be able to know who created this universe needed a Creator. For example, Our computer couldn't have just POOF! there's a computer out of thin air. The computer needs a creator. Same thing with our lives. We need a creator to be here and people don't want to take that as the truth. The Non-believers might be upset in what i just type but that's why i have faith to give my opinion and what i believe.

First off, I do believe in a God or Gods. But, as a deist, with atheist friends, I have yet to hear an atheist preach there is no god. They don't go out to 3rd world countries, threaten the poor there, and spread their message by any means possible. Atheists make no claims. You and I both make claims; However, I believe in a God who freely made the universe, you believe in a monster who threatens us to either submit or be tortured forever. And then you Christians have the gall to call your "god" a "god of love."

That question sounds like an argument for Pascal's Wager.
Here you go again...
Christians sometimes proffer Pascal’s Wager (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascal%27s_wager ) suggesting to non-believers that they should accept Jesus (John 3:16) as some sort of insurance policy against hell, just in case it turns out god really exists. The fallacy with this line of reasoning is that faith in god for some reward or to avoid punishment is not faith at all. It is a selfish act to receive something in return for a belief. The point of religious belief so that one becomes a better person, not to receive a reward or please a spiritual being.

I like your question! Your statement is logical, but then so are law books. How about the fact that there are so many Atheists on this particular section. Might seem illogical, especially since they answer so many Christian questions instead of fantasy plotline inquiries, huh? Yeah it really seems they were looking for a chatroom and stumbled across an opportunity to be witnessed to!jGOD Bless them all! Thanks Bro'!

Look at all the time (money?) you would save if you stopped believing in this medieval myth, devils angels and the rest. Then you could accept things like how the old the Earth really is and evolution of animals, (Stem Cells?) and all the other things that make logical sense.

Each of us has different beliefs. Maybe we should try respecting each other than putting "God" in our debates. Personally, I believe and love God. Whenever I hear people say that "There's no God".. I get irritated. But what can I do? It's their beliefs, and I don't have the right to tell them that they're wrong and force them to believe my "belief".
Only God can change their minds.. "in God's time".
