Neither.
We all die physically, it's a natural part of the life cycle. It has nothing to do with sin. If we didn't die, then we probalby would have lost the ability to procreate by now.
The spirit does not die. It is immortal. Nothing can destroy it, though it can be damaged. Hate, pain and anger hurt the soul every time it is exposed to it. The pain I experienced reading this question and previous answers to it ripped a hole straight through my spirit.

Both.

Physical death was brought onto mankind when Adam and Eve first sinned in the Garden of Eden. Because of sin, all men will physically die. But it goes further than that. All men (mankind) are on their way directly to hell and spiritual death because of their sin, but God chooses some to save from that spiritual death. That debt was paid for by His Son on the cross.

By "reward," do you mean "consequences?" Either way, it's both physical and spiritual death.

THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH, BUT THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.

Because of sin, we all die- if we die in our sin, we die both physically and spiritually- however if we accept the gift of salvation through the shed blood of Christ- we will still die physically , however we are saved from spiritual death- praise the name of Jesus!!

Spiritual death.

Since all people die, both righteous and unrighteous. But the righteous will get everlasting life.

Punishment.
Can be one or the other or both.

However, God is merciful and forgives our sins and does not keep count of it; however, we must still try our very best to not sin.
