Funny, I don't read the Bible and enemies is such a strong term.
And yet, I pray for the people whom I dislike and for those who have done me ill.
Odd, as I'm not a religious person.

It does tell us that.
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Mat 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

They stole a brand new 1,000 dollar Mac laptop from my friends car. As upset as he was, we all prayed for this guy. The guy who stole the laptop took the book that was on the laptop, which was a bible... so you never know what may happen.

I do pray for my enemies. The best way to find compassion in my heart for them is to be concerned enough to pray.

The Bible does say that.
Love your enemies! It is easy to love your friends, Love as Jesus loves everyone.

I already do.
And...I pray that they open their hearts and their minds to the love and mercy of the one true God...and come to accept (enter into) the covenant of the New Testament for forgiveness of sin and salvation of the eternal soul thru His Son, Jesus.

You should do that regardless. The only way this world will get better is when people get over their attachments and reach out in kindness to others.
And furthermore, when people stop trying to make everyone else believe exactly the same as they believe, maybe all these stupid wars and fighting "in the name of god" will end.

it's not if the bible teach that, it does.....
i do pray for people that wrongfully accuse me, and those that say all sort of evil against me,,,
i pray that they would call upon the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved........that's my duty to them...
i also forgive them for they are not my judge...
neither will i rejoice when they suffer, for God said " to take no pleasure in your enemies suffering.........
