Concerta is a Central Nervous System Stimulant, drugs in this category take affect anywhere btwn 20-90minutes,whenever you take it.Concerta is usually pretty quick 20-30 minutes is average, maybe alittle longer. It is extended release & will continue for most of the day 8-12 hrs.
You need to see if anyone else has noticed a difference in you.It is not supposed to make you feel high, full of energy or jittery. It is to calm you down so you can concentrate & basically feel normal.
If it is not doing that call your doctor, who should be seeing you frequently when you start any of these medications so the dose can be adjusted.
Antidepressents take 2-4 weeks before they start working & Concerta is not in that catagory.

Oh dear I don't know, but when I started to take ampheta (Adderall) I noticed the difference within days. I take it for ADD, but also to help me stay awake because my other meds make me drowsy.
You might feel "high" for a few days and if you're like me you may become super focused on certain projects. I spent hours in front of my computer writing a "novella". I wrote 100 pages in two weeks...then I stopped.
In the meantime, Google it and/or check with your doc.

I'm not the familiar with that drug, but I know it is a drug given for ADHD.
It seems like most psychiatric drugs take one or two weeks to start making a noticeable difference.
I have been on different meds for depression and anxiety and it worked that way for me.

On the average, most medications take 2 to 3 weeks for results. I was just put on Prozac again, and I have been two other anti-depressants. The normal time is 2 weeks. A little boy I am caregiver for was put on 3 different drugs for ADHD, and we were told two to three weeks.

i used to be on that stuff, if you're not seeing results after about a week of taking it, there's a problem. dosage is too low or something.
