This is true brainwashing. Much different than laying out facts in a Science Classroom.

Oz, actually the disclaimer made me laugh pretty hard. The "this is not a scare tactic" line was classic. Here you go. Folks the caption to the side does say that this does not represent accurate Gospel. I figured people would see that when they looked at the site. Sorry.

As far as knowing nothing about Christianity. I would be plenty willing to engage with you in a debate on your theology. Y/A is not really the best place for it though. I was a Christian for a good 15-20 years and i have read your Bible twice through and many other parts quite a bit more than that. I have attended Bible study. I also took 2 semesters of History of Islam and Christianity at a Christian College.

That is...unbelievable. I can't believe people would force kids to watch this. "Sorry, Jeff, but your friend is now in Hell and it's your fault for not telling him about Jesus." What kind of sick person would lay that kind of false guilt upon a child. I don't mind teaching kids about religion, but I would let them choose for themselves...not guilt or scare them into it. That's just sick. Leave the innocent kids alone...you religious sickos. Ugh.
I wouldn't say this is child abuse, but it is wrong in so many ways that I can't even describe. You shouldn't use the naivety of kids against them, just to bring more robots to your cause. How messed up is that?
I am not here to say God doesn't exist and blah blah blah....I'll let you decide for yourself what you believe. But that is just my point, I'm letting you decide what you want to believe in your life without criticizing or interfering. Christians should do the same for others. Let us choose what we choose. Leave the judging up to your so-called God. That is NOT your job.
EDIT: To the people who say crap like "This speaks the truth"...did you even WATCH the whole video?? Do you understand what you're saying? Have you even read the bible??I'm not even a christian and I have read it. This is not "the truth." This is messed up kids, making a messed up video, to scared other kids into convincing their friends to believe in God.
Let me ask you something, do you think that God would want people to believe him only because they're scared of going to hell? I truly don't think that.

Tell me where on that site does it say that the video is intended for children. It clearly is not! It is intended for mature people who are ALREADY believers. If you had read the disclaimer you would know this.
You would also note that in the disclaimer it clearly says this is not intended as a scare tactic to convert people, and that it is a dramatisation that DOES NOT represent the Gospel correctly.
Of course you didn't want to mention any of these facts because that would have ment admitting you are just trying to make false accusations about a topic you clearly know nothing about.
EDIT>>
You still haven't explained how you came to the conclusion that this video was intended for children. As I said it clearly is not, and I don't know any Christian parent that would allow a young child to watch that.
EDIT 2>>
I consider a 12 -16 year old a child as well. I have sent you an email accepting your invitation to debate my theology. I look forward to crossing swords (so to speak).

Phil, thank you for posing this question.
Yes, I think that it would be abusive. Brainwashing is an understatement here, and as to the guy who said this isn't intended for children, you either didn't watch it or are an ignoramus. It is clearly directed as a guilt trip and scare tactic (I don't care WHAT the disclaimer says) that is geared towards teens to get them to peddle their parents' New World Order-ish crap on their friends.
And please don't try to tell me I know nothing about it. I was raised with this crap, and it took me 20 years to find my own spiritual peace because of it.
I am a believer in Christ and read the Bible but do not consider myself a Christian nor do I go to church, so should I have been "allowed" to watch this or not? If the Manson family had CharlieTube he probably would have been pretty pissed off if others outside his family had watched it also.

I didn't watch the video. But... babies don't cry just "for...well crying". They cry because they need or want something. Whether or not you agree that said need/want is as urgent as they think it is, doesn't change the fact that there is a reason. How else do you recommend they communicate? Edit: Again, I didn't watch the video, but it does seem to me, if you have 44 seconds to video your baby crying, you have 44 seconds to tend to your baby. I'm not going to say they are bad parents, again, didn't watch the video. I'm also not saying my son never cried, nor am I saying that I rushed to his side at every whimper. What I am saying is that "learn to cry" nonsense, or "crying for the sake of crying" nonsense, is just that... nonsense. Babies have wants and needs, same as the next person, what they don't have is any other form of communication besides crying at their disposal.

Yup, that is a scare tactic and brainwashing if I ever saw it.........and I think that it would be akin to child abuse. That would scare the crap out of any normal child. I was wondering why I would have nightmares after church and now I know why. people like this make it a scary experience.
Blessed Be
EDIT: this also shows how "Loving" christians think their god is.....to condemn one to eternal torment for disbelief. That is really caring, dont you think?

No, this isnt child abuse. And people brainwash their children all the time for different reasons...I hear them say, "We gotta make him a state fan!"
This video wasnt intended for children, or non Christians...
Its intended for Christians to encourage them to share their faith....
Just like university professors encourage people to challenge their faith...
With all the "hell" in the mass media, I would say this is childs play.

Let me tell you what child abuse is....it is when a parent puts their child in a tub with the hottest water possible and burns the child with 3rd degree burns, it is when a boyfriend puts his girlfriend's baby in a pressure cooker, it is when a person beats a child to death. THAT is child abuse!! That movie was intended for believers not for the unbelievers. I watched the whole movie and if you don't get anything from it you should get the point that you should not drink & drive.

I got through most of it ... typical Christian scare-tactics. Making a child watch this isn't abuse, but trying to make them believe it is abuse to my way of thinking.
