Where should the public go to find information that is reliable about global warming? Which sources should they avoid and why?

The best idea is to go to a library and read actual scientific journals.

But few will do that. Mostly they will go to websites.

So go to places that talk about science, not politics. Are the written by climatologists? Do they quote data and the scientific literature or do they talk about politics? You should be able to figure that out for yourself.

Here are my personal favorites, particularly the first and the last.

Fact is - the sun is dropping in temperature every second but until it becomes cool enough for another ice age to form we might have a problem but try this extremely scientific method of the worlds ice melting (take into account the warmer it gets the more water evapourates during the weather cycle too).... put a few ice cubes in a glass- (these ice cubes represent the massive huge floating ice on the poles) -then fill to the brim with water (this water represents...well the earths water level.) Apply warmth... does the water lever rise as the ice melts?

Easy to find Polarized opinions. I've ready a lot of material and discussed it in depth with friends.

Stay away from sites which are polarized to 1 side or another.
The topic is too complex to just believe in 1 side and then conduct research to prove your point.

Try to find middle ground sites that evaluate the claims of both sides.

Just don't go to wikipedia, I'm positive you know people just go on that website and the idiots just randomly edit it.

Go to the library, get a great book called State of Fear by: Michael Crichton; great story, heavily researched and footnoted. (The lefties hate it because it exposes their agenda)
