No throwing in jail for an abortion. I'm Christian and as a Christian, I think that concept is ridiculous. The government cannot tell a woman what can and cannot grow inside of her body. I've suffered a miscarriage, it was hell. I could not understand ANYONE getting an abortion, but they have their reasons... and to punish someone for having control over their body? that's absurd.

I don't want anyone thrown in jail for abortion. Oh I take that back. If a woman was raped, I want the rapist thrown in jail for life.
I want women to really take control of their bodies and not become pregnant until they are ready to have a child.
God Bless.

Unfortunately that will never happen with abortion being legal. But what can happen is the woman puts herself in her own personal prison. I have counseled women who have had abortions, and they NEVER forget that they took the life of a child- however, praise God, there is forgiveness in Christ- and He alone can free anyone from the prison that they are in, due to bondage of sin- no matter the sin- abortion or something else. I know I was released from sin through Christ myself.

There are many non-christians who regard so-called abortion as mass-murder. I make no distinction between abortion or any other form of infanticide. Every abortion mill is a Dachau and the people who work there are just as guilty as the people who worked at Dachau.

At the moment no one because the law states it is legal to kill an unborn child.
Once the law catches up with science then possibly the murderer that perform the killing of innocent children. Those that assist in the execution on innocent children. Those who seek to end the life of another person protected by the law.
Sounds like a current laws against murder.
Reality is Roe v Wade allow all men in the USA a free pass in reproduction. Not our problem not our decision. Yet, we get all the fun part. Those nine men were sneaky in their ruling in 1973.
Did the Women Liberation Movement really win in Roe v Wade?
Men won. Easily. Hands down, after the 45 million women and children who have been effected severely by this decision of a male only court system.
Shame that men are not legally responsible until the child is born.

Unfortunatley, I don't think There will be a time when this is going to be illegal everywhere,so I don't think chosing who goes to jail is a issue... HOWEVER... I will answer the question, but first I'd like to provide some scriptures to help you understand why I decided to answer the question the way I did. Romans 14:12 says "Each of us will render an account for himself to god" , so wether this is legal or not, those participating will get whatever god decides they deserve. , wether it is everlasdting life or everlasting destruction... 1John 3:15 "no manlayer has everlasting life remaining in him" and/or for how they live their lives and if it is in HARMONY WITH THE BIBLE or not. I believe the bible says NO to abortion. Since abortion is wrong, ANYONE who participates in the act of ending the life of a unborn baby should be held acountable. Not only the clinics, people perfoming the "procedure"but the mother herself. Even the father,if he helps in any way . There is scriptures that says that God states that a person would be called to account for injury to an unborn child... Ex 21:22,23 since this is a long one,I may run out of text. How serious is the willful taking of a human life for a reason not authorized by gos?GE 9:6 , 1st John 3:15 , Ex. 20:13
I provied these scriptures so you can better understand why I chose my answer to the question at hand... my answer is:
I advocate everyone having anything to do with the act of ending the life of an unborn baby.. ANYONE who is involved to be held accountable.
I almost said satan, yes he gave us sin.but we still have the free will as we did when adam& eve CHOSE to disobey god and lsiten to satan. We have a CHOICE,so WE should be accountable. As for rape,as terrible it is,a baby is a baby. If I was raped by a nasty old man ,or any nasty man, I would love the baby the same as my other 3kids,because it would be half mine, wether I wanted it or not. God will destroy evil after he proves to mankind that we cannot rule ourselves ,but we live in this sinful suffering world,to learn that we can not amek it on our own, without god. THEN he will destroy evildoers, and we won't have to worry about being raped,etc... to the person who said it is not christian to be against abortion?? Christian means to follow christ, and christ is gods son. Christ says abortion is wrong,so how is it NOT christian to be against abortion? To hurt those who are pro abortion,or medle in their affiars, yes that is wrong.... but to just be against it,like god is against,it to be like christ and god?? HUH that person doesn't make sense. the bible makes more sense.

if you were walking home from class one day and a man pulled you into his car, he was probably in his late fifties and you were 14 years old, he took you to his house forced you to undress and he would throw you on his bed where him and his old wife sleep his breath smelling like beer and rotten teeth and he forced you to have sex with him. He did his business while holding a hand over your face where you could barely breath with all of his weight on you...
You were able to run away, the old man was sent to jail thank god.
But, You found out you are pregnant with this dirty mans child.
You are only a week along, the baby has yet to reach having a heart beat, do you allow it to grow, carrying it traits of a man who raped you. Or get rid of it before its existence mattered?
I am sorry. But I would have an abortion, as I did. I will not regret what happened. But I refused to carry that mans child at 14 years old, where I would not be able to go to school, and I would have to be an adult, and carry a child, never mind give it up for adoption.
My innocence was taken away, but I knew what choice I was to make.
No one should be thrown in jail for abortion. It is a personal choice that should not be taken away before it is too late. I believe in the very first stages, it should be legal.
And until yuo are in the position to have to make that choice, you HAVE NO RIGHT TO JUDGE

Thank you, Warriorpooflinger. We all needed that English lesson tonight.
But, as to the answer to your question, we all know that they have not succeeded in swaying the Supreme Court of the United States to declare abortions illegal, yet. So, nobody goes to jail.
P.S. - I checked this for grammar and punctuation errors before submitting it, and it is correct.

No one. Unless it was someone who was performing cheap abortions out of their basement and women were getting infections and dying because of it.
Anyone else who performs abortions is not breaking the law, as abortion is legal in this country, and therefore should not go to jail.
Anyone who chooses to have an abortion is not breaking the law, as abortion is legal in this country, and therefore should not go to jail.

It really depends on the person's conscience...
If the one who plans to have an abortion feels in her heart (and her conscience tells her) that it is right for her, then so be it.
But I belive it must be for a valid reason, like rape, incest, etc. and not just because you got careless and had PMS...

how much you want to bet that everyone who is against abortion is only here as a result of a faulty condom?
(i really hope SOMEONE takes offense to that. its what I'm here for)
no one has ANY right to tell a woman what to do with her body. and why is it called an abortion for humans, but when its a chicken its an omelet?
