Wouldn't you think that any parent that did that would be sick and cruel?

It is just part of his generally nasty and sadistic personality.

Remember, this is a God that: drowned nearly every living thing he had created just because he was in a bad mood; led his “chosen people’ on a wild goose chase for 40 years while systematically killing 80-85% of them; and spends his spare time flinging disease, pestilence, natural disasters, and all manner of pox upon humanity just as fast as he can.

Well, He's inviting you into heaven. He even came to earth to die for your sins!

It's not God's fault that you're rebelling against His Love and choosing to go where He won't be there!

Jesus is the door to get into heaven, and you can either go through that door, or you can pick the other door, but "Broad is the way, and wide is the gate that goes to destruction, and there are many on that road."

God even cried out, "I do NOT take pleasure in the death of the wicked! I don't want ANY to go to hell, but that ALL would come to repentance!" He cried out, "I present before you this day life and death, blessings and cursings. Please choose Life that you may live!" (Jesus said "I am Life!")

So, before you go pointing your finger at God, maybe you should take another look in the mirror! It seems that YOU are the sick and cruel one, because He's offering you Life, and you're deliberately rejecting His offer! "How can we escape if we neglect such a great salvation."

Imagine for a moment that you fell into a deep pit that you couldn't climb your way out of. Someone comes along with a rope and tells you to tie it around your waist and he'll pull you out. Then you reject the person AND the rope, THEN you actually blame the person and the rope for your dilemma!

In case you didn't get it, the pit is sin. If you don't get out, you'll die in there. That is to say, you'll wind up in hell forever!

God is the person with the rope, and Jesus is the rope. You reject God and Jesus, then blame them for your predicament!

If you had a terminal disease that causes excrutiating pain until the very day you die, and someone comes along with a cure, and offers you the cure for free, and you reject it, are you so foolish as to blame the person or the cure when you're in all kinds of pain?

Well, that's exactly what you're doing. It's foolish and arrogant!

It's not his desire to do this. He loves us all, but we are sinful, and He cannot be in the presence of sin, or sin cannot be in the presence of God. The lake of fire is a place where God is not. That's all that Hell is. Here on earth, God is present. He protects us in everything we do. We (all of us - Christian or not) are all protected by Him to some degree. In an extreme example, if God was not there to protect us always, would we even be able to drive a car without getting in an accident? Would we be able to perform anything we do on a daily basis? He is not throwing his children into a lake of fire because of lack of belief. He will not be in the presence of sin, and therefore will condemn those that have not atoned for their sins to that fate.

Illogical nonsense.

Once again, I see the usual argument of everyone else' religion is wrong, therefore less than 1/3 of Earth's population is legible even to try.

With more incoherent babbling like "Jesus appears to everyone in one way or the other even if you're not Christian".

"You put yourself in a lake, not God. Because you didn't manage to choose ONE religion out of thousands, which are indiscernible from each other, each having no proof than the other"

It's like if you were a house full of lists of things to do which all claim to be the only real list, and only one is supposed the right one. No one is home, and you either pick a list to do, or pick none. If you get the wrong one, when your parents come home, they set you on fire.

Yeah yeah I know, it's not cruel if someone divine is doing it, only when humans do it. Genocide from God is justice but genocide from man is a travesty /sarcasm

Well that is to assume we are ALL God's kids.

Truth is...we aren't all His kids.

ONLY those who have received Jesus and repented with sincerity are His kids.

Everyone else is a child of Satan.

No child of God will go to the Lake of Fire.

This will offend many, but they will be even more offended if they perish in the Lake of Fire cause "You never told me I wasn't God's child!"

To become God's kid one has to repent that is turn from sins and change one's mind, believe on Jesus and what He has done, and confess Jesus as Lord and receive Him.

It also has to be from the heart cause God isn't the idiot the world thinks He is.

Well it does say lake of fire doesn't it! It is also in context, a vision given in signs. It also says that death and hades was thrown in that lake of fire as well. And we know that death is to be done away with forever. It them is symbolic for the complete destruction, cutting off of or doing away with those that refuse to learn righteousness.

Have you ever read John 3:16??

If God was the mean and cruel God you are taking about He would have never sent his only begotten Son to give is eternal life...God is a glorious merciful and loving God. Something that cannot be said of any other so called god.

There's an old saying about pulling on the tiger's tail that applies here. Keep mocking and yanking at God, and he may teach you a lesson.

Believe what you want, and even argue a bit, but this questions mocks and ridicules something most people find very holy.

First of all we are not all God's children. We are all created by God, but the only way we are children of God is if we accept Christ as our Savior, and then God adopts us into His family. He does not want anyone of His creation to go to hell, however He is God, and there has to be payment for sin- it will either be us, which would be well-deserved, or have Christ pay in full for us , by realizing that He died on the cross of us, and confessing our sin, and accepting Him as our Savior.

What makes you think you're God's children? Bible says people don't start out as God's children. They become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

And how do you identify them? "This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother." 1John 3:10

So how do you measure up?
